I won't even be mad if he goes for a higher paying gig elsewhere. He deserves it.

Let's acquire Dragic before we face this problem. ;)

I would love to retain Beverley, and I think he would actually stay here for a fair amount of money even if someone else offered him more. He knows that the Rockets brought him back to the NBA and seems very loyal to the organization.

I just wish he has some PG skill. He is really just a defensive specialist with an improving three point shot, right now and probably will forever be.

He does things on the court that a PG should know not to do, like pass to James on the fast break with 4 opposing players on him or hold the ball way too long before passing into the post. One big thing is that, if James has a switch on the other team's PG and Beverley has the ball, he will bring over his guy when he gives James the ball so the defenders can switch and James loses his advantage over the smaller player. It's the little things..

If we got Dragic, I would love to bring him off the bench and be our supersub a la Manu Ginobili or OKC Harden with the thought that Dragic would get starter minutes and Bev would be the "Thabo Sheflosha" of the team. But I don't know if our starting unit is sustainable with only one playmaker with 2 guys who are pretty limited on offense (Aroza and Beverley) and 2 guys who needs to be set up in order to preform (Howard and DMo).

The complicating factor is what to do with Nick Johnson, Isaiah Canaan, and Sergio Llull if we trade for Dragic and keep Beverley. IMO, 2 of these 3 have to go.

Bev would go to SA and eventually start after Parker is done. He's the kind of player PoP loves

yeah and i dont think you understand how good dragic is. beverly over dragic lol. dragic was able to lead the suns last year well within reach of the playoffs in the west and that was without bledsoe. if harden actually says dragic should have been an all star last year, you should take his word for it if you're a homer. I like beverly and all but if you choose him over dragic you're not about taking the next level to win a championship.

Bev earns his contract defining the team's attitude. You need a junkyard dog to elevate everyone else's play over 82 games.

I love the way Bev rebounds and speeds the fastbreak. We would miss that if he was gone.

If we have Dragic and Bev then what we do with Johnson, Canaan, and Llull is not one of my big worries. In fact that's a "problem" I'd like to face.

Harden is playing point guard. Rockets need a true point guard so that Harden focuses on offense and defense. Harden is MVP caliber, but a true point guard is sorely needed.

We'd probably need to include either Jones or DMo, but I'd still deal one of those for Dragic.

I'd hate Morey has any plan to get him here. He was not loyal to Rockets when he was here. He is not loyal to Phoenix while he still gets paycheck from them. Why would any team wants him long-term?

exactly. We actually dont even NEED Dragic. Not sure why he's talked about so much on this forum.

Between Bev/Cannon/Terry/ and Young we're more than fine.

you are delusional. dragic with beverley coming in off the bench not only increases the chance for this year but gives you a better chance of winning multiple championships. and would prolong the career of harden so he didnt have to be the man every single night.
