This is great news, but why did Pistons cut him? cant he be traded? doesnt jsmith at least have some value??? what was pistons thinking?
I understand the interest now, but what did Morey see in Smith in 2013? The only group I can think of is the low bball IQ guys that rebound well for their position (Twill, Dorsey, and Jsmith)
Woj just dropping bombs. I'd like for us to acquire Josh Smith. He's the Rajon Rondo of SF/PF. Great rebounder, assist man and defender that could really help your team as long as he doesn't shoot too much. Give him the BAE, and get it done Morey. Smith is a special talent that could help us make that push as long as he doesn't shoot, and with TJ out we need this.

it appears that any team Jsmith is going to sign for would be 6th man at best, except with us as he will replace jones while he is on recovery. Not to mention he could very well replace jones at the starting lineup if jsmith is playing into our system.
Holy ****! That's a lot of money for Detroit to eat. Picking up Smith off waivers seems like a low risk, high reward move. Isn't he good friends with Dwight? He easily makes Jones.expendable.
