ESPN radio just reported that it is a probable scenario. Now that Penny is out for the year, they want to get Hakeem to make a run at a title now and to "dump" Penny's salary. I think Penny lives in Houston most of the year. While it quite likely won't happen, it is still a possibility. That's all I know. ------------------ [This message has been edited by BimaThug (edited January 17, 2001).]
I love Penny, but the last thing we need is another guard. His nagging injuries I would stay away from also. When healthy he can still be one of the best, but we already have Cat, Shan, and Francis. Penny can play small, but we need a bigger three that can reb and command double teams in the post. ------------------ SUCK POLICE!!!!!! Actually, if you take a look at today's Chronicle you will see that the Rockets received that offer from the Suns (in addition to Cliff Robinson and few scrubs), but the Rockets turned it down because of Penny's salary. This was a good move, but is now specially highlighted because of Penny's recent problems. He's likely out for the year and unfortunately is probably damaged goods. ------------------ Nederland 2002 Rocketman95 on board. Check out his latest game recaps.
