can one of our cap experts here chime in on this statement? if all we wanted was a contract, wouldn't have made more sense to just hold onto turiaf's 100% insured salary for a couple months and then flip it, instead of attaching another 2nd round pick in order to obtain shved's contract? if not then it seems DM may actually want take a look at shved on the court for us..
Once again this board only looks at black and white numbers instead of potential. I see potential in Shved and believe being in a winning environment will bring that out of him. He is definitely a serviceable player that could eventually bring more to the team.
I can't wait for the influx of Russian (and ethnic Russian communities across the world) IPs onto the BBS to project their cultural biases and assumptions about our Houston (and greater extended western culture) unto us while giving the Rockets coaching staff an audit of their potential prejudices against Great Russia and turning the metaphorical gun back on themselves while screaming about how terrible we are and how nice LA seems by comparison
Love me some Bones. <iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/LXg-k_1NGMY?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
That comparison crossed my mind, but Bones shot better. I'd guess because of that their scoring would be coming from different places, but definitely similar styles and abilities.
Shved to wear 88. Brewer will don 33. Only one other Rocket has had a higher jersey # than Alexey. Who was the player and what was their number?
JJ Watt #99. JJ Watt is on every professional sports team in the world, in fact, he won the Euopean Footballer of the Year award along with the Conn Smythe Trophy, the Jack Adams Award, and the Lady Byng Trophy the last 3 years running. He also has won both the NL and AL Cy Young in the same season.
