I think the article is saying that Golden State, if they really believe they don't need Lee, should trade David Lee so they can keep Draymond Green.
He's a big reason why GSW has the best record in the league. He's a plus defender, undersized but makes up for it with long arms, quick lateral movement, and a strong base. Oh btw he is a very good 3 pt shooter...must be all the competitions with Steph and Klay. He would fit tremendously with the Rockets as a stretch 4. The hate has very little to do with his ability more his temperament. I don't get the comparison with Lance at all outside of his temperament. He doesn't need the ball to be effective and is more of a glue guy than lance could ever be.
