I mean people know how good Lin is when he is the primary ball-handler. We've had enough of those 20+ Pts, 8+ Assists outbursts when Harden was out. And we saw Linsanity. I don't think the sample size is too small.
but then the Suns would get their pick and fans would stop showing up to the games. The Lakers are actually making the best of a bad situation.

He did for the Knicks as an unknown guard and it resulted in him getting them back into the Playoffs. ...Then he did it for the Rockets in stretches when Harden was out and teams had scouting reports about him. It's not too far-fetched that he could've made the Lakers somewhat better since he involves everybody into the offense and makes teammates better. Kobe is pretty much a confidence killer right now. I'm not stating this as a fact or whatsoever...just a possibility given Lin's track record as the primary ball-handler.
Wow, you are an LOF. I knew it. Lin's record as a primary ball handler is that he's lost his starting job for two teams. And Lin didn't show in the playoffs vs the Knicks, plus his playoff performance has been horrendous with the Rockets.
Lin lost his spot in Houston because we need a 3nD type player to compliment Harden which Patrick Beverley is the perfect fit. If Harden wasn't playing for Houston do you think Lin would still be benched for Beverley? Lin is an average pg that has yet to show what he is truly capable of, this season with the Lakers he is clearly under performing. As inconsistent as Lin is, I find it hard to believe Ronnie Price is better than him
Lin's problem was that he could not be trusted at the end of games. His IQ goes 0 whenever the clock starts to tick a little louder. That airball against Miami was a prime example. And we saw enough in the Playoffs. But his production in the first 43-44 minutes of games is decent. Lin was acutally pretty important considering the ****ty play of Harden. I didn't mind having him on the Rockets. I was pretty upset that we lost him for nothing, but Canaan can ball and Terry is great, so I've recovered from the loss . I'm definetely a Lin fan and really enjoyed his style of play. Does not make me a LOF though. IB4: "So you enjoy watching your team throw away games?" "You enjoy guys jumping in the air with no where to go?" Lin did some stupid **** in the playoffs, but Harden and the overall non-chemistry when Dwight posted up killed us. That team was doomed for failure and now we're looking completely different. Happy Times ahead. Let's rather hate on Parsons.
Nobody's 'hating' on Lin. They are pointing out that he's not a trusted starter. what do you mean 'his style of play'? recklessly driving to the basket? already making up your mind what to do without regard to the defense? forgetting the game situation? he can penetrate and run on the break, but his jump shoot is not dependable.
Ronnie Price is starting because the coach would rather have him start. None of us, except for maybe Clutch attends NBA practices and sees what the coaches see in practice or in meetings. You may think it's coincidence that he's been benched by two teams in a row, but I see a pattern.
His shooting % is pretty decent and steadily rose throughout his career. I like his finishing abilities and passes. When he is [ON], it's a pleasure to watch him. But I agree that he cannot be trusted during late game situations.
He lost his starting job to Ronnie Price. Even the most diehard fans have to realize the jury is IN. Can be a decent role player. that is it.
Lin sucks. He has been cut or traded from every team he's ever been on (Rockets had to give up a first to get rid of him). Now, he's sitting on the bench behind Ronnie Price. You can spin it any way you'd like but at the end of the day Jeremy Lin will still be a garbage basketball player
