He is sitting in the first row of seats right behind home plate, for those watching the game.

Anybody recognize the large black dude sitting behind him?
    A potential assistant coach maybe?

(OK it's a steroetype for me to assume a large black man is Basketball associated instead of say... Drayton's son-in-law or somthing, but he is huge)

Thats JVG alright. I am suprised the pitchers arent blinded by the glare off of his forehead. It is kind of humid out. ;)

Nobody sitting in those seats ever paid for them, they are always VIP gimmies

I'm enjoying watching all his facial expressions. When the HR was hit and when Helms was hit, you could see him say "Oh ****!"

I was at the game tonight. They showed him on the orbitron..the uh...the big TV in centerfield and the PA guy said "ladies and gentleman, the new coach for your Houston Rockets....Jeff...Van... Guuuundy!!!". He got a loud round of applause (and a standing O from yours truly).

He seemed pretty embarassed by it all. I don't think he wanted to be noticed. Seems like he's doing his best to establish himself as a "Houstonian" not just the Rockets coach. Good for him.
