Lol, not even close, Tmac for whatever his up and downs with this organization were, was the best player we've had since Hakeem.

Poor Thunder fans, to think they know they practically gave him away for pennies on the dollar.

He's pretty damn close to surpassing anything tmac did as a rocket.

Based on his age and the fact that he can still get better; namely in the playoffs.

Get us out of the first round first.

Harden is pretty great, but Yao did lead the Rockets to the 2nd Round and was Unstoppable before he went down. TMAC almost got the to the 2nd round with no help with many dominant performances (I really hate that the 2nd round has become the high-water mark for greatness since the Dream Era sigh*)

Harden has to do this in the Post Season for me to agree with you.

IMO, the most reasonable way to look at this. Well said.

I agree... I think Yao was the best since Hakeem and I think taking us to the second round was huge.

Hopefully Harden can be successful in the postseason.

Yao holds the honor and, short of leading us to the NBA Finals, there's nothing Harden can this year to take the title away from him.

That said, if Harden maintains his level of play through the regular season and leads us on a playoff run, he's passed up T-Mac on the Rockets all-time player pecking order. Not bad for a guy only in year 3 of his Rockets' career ...

Harden's tied with Tmac for now until the Rox get out of the 1st round.

If Harden keeps this up for another couple of years, he'll surpass TMac in my book as best Rocket since Hakeem.

Or of course if he wins MVP/leads us to the 2nd round/WCF or further at some point.

T-Mac is hard to beat, but Harden is getting there for sure.
