That was atrocious! If you lose the game by 1-2 points you'll feel like this play, the play the refs TOTALLY closed their eyes on, could have been the play that cost you the game! Spoiler THE BREWER SHUFFLE?.... ....... ....... .......
Remind me of this lol <iframe width="420" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/gCEbuar7Qas" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> I guess the refs let that slip.
on the front view you can see he didn't have the ball in his hands for some of those steps. It was actually like one big dribble. the he took a 3 more steps i think.
who cares, he didn't gain an advantage by the travel. A one on nothing fast break. Do some of you really get upset by break-away dunks
That was at least 6 steps. Then why do they call pointless carries, doubles, and travels that don't give the players advantages at the three point line? You know that's not how it works. And one could argue it gave him the advantage of being able to run full speed and the momentum to easily dunk it rather than taking the chance of missing a layup which does happen when a player is running full speed at the basket. He would also have to slow down to make the layup, giving the defender a better chance of blocking it. There is always that one guy that doesn't care.
Oh, come on. So you guys really are outraged. Settle down. You make it sound like this is an assault on the integrity of the game, like it's an example of everything bad about officiating. It's not; it's a freaking break away dunk where the defenders gave up. Like I say; Who cares but people like you who cry about officiating and want to point out all mistakes ... and by the way, the majority of times fans cry "travel" it isn't...it's a perfectly executed delayed gather that HS and college kids don't know how to do...that's why we only see it in the NBA, not because of lax rules.
He took a bunch of tiny, pitter-patter steps, so the refs factored that into the distance covered by typically longer NBA grown-up steps and came up 3:1 benefit-of-the-doubt ratio and a final count of "two full NBA steps." Thus, no travel.
not a travel. it's like he bounced the ball ahead and ran to get it, it has more in common with that than a crossover.
The sequence was he dribbled some, then put his palm underneath the ball, thus his dribble was ended. then he took five steps after said palm was under ball. Even if he did dribble during those five steps, he would have been double dribbling .
the refs never call travels on those breakaway dunks, and they're almost always travels. As was said, if they started calling them, the players would stop hammer dunking them.
I know arguing with you is pointless, but whatever. Who cares but people like you who cry about guys who don't like it when officials miss the most blatant travels. I mean, if they let him get away with six steps then what is the rule? When is it okay to take more than two steps? All I want is consistency. Notice how you are the only one defending the officials. Pick your battles.
Remember when Jeremy Lin *MAY* have barely taken three steps against Portland and how much their fans cried over it? Imagine if they saw this. I mean they must have missed the fact that he obviously dribbled the ball before taking his next two steps. Blazers fans cry. I don't think anyone is crying here. Just saying wow, that's pretty bad. <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/2MVjEmcav9k" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
