I have been really struggling with the putter here lately and decided to start this thread to see what kind of putters you guys use and how you like them. Right now my putter is a Taylormade Rossa Maranello and while I like how it looks I just dont seem to have a very good feel with it. So I will probaly be changing putters pretty soon.

No diggety, I am in the same boat. Bad putting cost me a tournament win two weeks ago, (ended up in second; prize - better luck next time). I have a putter that I really liked at first but now I have the yips. It is a Wilson blade style putter and I don't feel like it is heavy enough to help me hold the line. I am thinking about a Odyssey two ball putter but before I do anything I am going to talk to a Pro to see what length I should get.

I use an old Ray Cook putter that came in a set of clubs some guy gave my dad a few years back. I like it because the head is made out of brass so it's pretty heavy for its size. It's also got a very old-school look to it. When I played at Disney World about 11 years ago, one of the caddies offered me $60 for it because he knew a guy that collected antique putters.

I still use the same old Ping Anser II I bought in 1990. I have over the years kept cutting it down, I think it's around 29" now. I feel like that allows me to extend my arms straighter.

I am always intriqued by the new technology though. I went Golfsmith last week and putted with everything they had. Their carpet is about 20 on the stimpmeter however , you can't really get a real life feel but here is the report on my favs:

The Futura - looks weird but is totally torque-proof. I just couldn't seem to line it up comfortably though.

Oddessy Two-ball - torque-proof, good feel, everything it says it is but it's just so goofy looking and you can't pick a ball up off the grass with it. That's a lot of extra bending over.

The new Ben Hogan Furyk used in the US open - thought I'd like it but I didn't. Center shafts just ain't right.

Scotty Cameron - Studio 5 was my favorite. Big bottom sole, curved shaft, good line-up line, too shiney too expensive (unless I can get the rep to get me a cost deal)

Taylormade - had one that was a triangle shape with two weight bars on top, good feel I could use it but again I'd have to bend over to get my gimmies.

Pings - always good but they use the offset hosel and if I change I want to get my offset from the shaft this time.

Didn't really decide to buy anything, played Wildcat at 6 PM Saturday evening. Got in 18 holes and putted well with my old clunker.

It ain't the putter , it's the puttee

This is a GREAt putter. Makes it a lot easier to aim and visualize the shot. Leaning over to pick up the ball isn't as unpleasant when the putts are going in the hole. Try this putter out - you'll be hooked.

    I play a teardrop.

But I playe din a scramble for the NFL Alumni a few weeks ago on a really nice course so I decided to borrow a friend of mine's Scotty Cameron. Not only I am hooke don the SC but I actually won the putting competion before the round began. So not only did I love the putter but it won me a 52 degree Cleveland Wedge (goes along perfectly with my 56 Cleveland) and a Driver, although I'm perfectly happy with my Adams driver.

So now I'm thinking about trading the driver in for a SC putter. Very awesome club, although I never ever expected to drop that much money on a putter.

I'll start another thread for it but I could probably put together a tournament benefitting CC Net.
