There are so many teams that just need to have a fire sale. Minnesota being one of them, I mean my God! How bad can you be?? New York? Carmelo needs to demand out! The league is ridiculously polarized right now. The top 7 teams in the west have better than 72% winning percentage. The top 3 teams in the East would be #'s 5, 9 and 10 in the West. Once Oklahoma City gets going, Phoenix and Dallas are going to be battling it out for that 8th seed hard core. Dallas is 1 injury away to Dirk or Tyson from being knocked out of the west playoff picture. Morey ought to be able to clean up at the deadline with this polarity. Hope we get a big name with that exception or a couple of picks. I have a feeling this year will be one of the craziest trade deadlines in the last 10 years.
I like that trade. Add in Dragic for NO Pick, Rights to Llull and a 2nd rounder and we have ourselves a contender. Dwight/DMO Jones/DMO Ariza/Green Harden/Terry Beverly/Dragic/Canaan Can you imagine a 2nd unit with DMo, Green and Dragic?
I agree, there will be a ton of trade pressure at the deadline. I just hope that we are healthy enough to make trades to smooth over rough spots and improve our future and not trades to fill gapping holes created by injuries.
You are correct.... ROX would have to include another salary as well (Canaan or Nick Johnson most likely.. let's say Canaan) But Papa, Capella, Canaan, NYK 2nd, & future 2nd MIGHT (BIG MIGHT) get you Green if Celtics were in a selling mood. I personally love Green, but I'm a Hoya The 2nd part that was added (Dragic) could be done as Dragic fits within Lin's TE But to get Dragic, it would probably cost NOP 1st, Rights to Llull, Nick Johnson, and 2017 1st with no guarantee Dragic re-signs with ROX However, this lineup ain't half-bad Need some height at F/C (Okafor or O'Neal), but not bad Dragic // Beverley Harden // Terry // Daniels Ariza // Green // Garcia Jones // Motiejunas Howard // Black // Dorsey
black, daniels, garcia to philly ak47 to houston sign earl clark bev, terry, (canaan) harden, johnson ariza, clark, (pap) donuts, ak47, (jones) dorsey, capela, (howard)
Looks like nets are going to breakup their big three. We probably could get one of them if we tried and all three of those guys could fit this team. They will come at a hefty salary and I believe ends around same time as d12. Joe is deadly three pt shooter and clutch, he would be a ray Allen for us. The other two guys are a bit of a high risk high reward plAyer. Deron use to be compared to cp3. He's not but on this team we wouldn't need him to score As much, Just defense and assists. Seems he still gets good assist numbers. Brooks though often injured could be another big to backup d12. Should we make a move? I think nets will have to unload these guys at a bit of a discount and Morey would be able to make the trade benefit us. The only thing is we would have to eat their big salary.
Bucks: Jones + Daniels for Henson + Wolters Suns: Simultaneous trade Gogi for Lin TPE Zoki for Canaan + Capela Gogi, Bev, Wolters Harden, Terry, Johnson Ariza, Zoki, Garcia Donuts, Pap, Black Howard, Henson, Dorsey
Right now, I feel like our chemistry is a valuable thing, and our bench is coming along well. Their is only one person on the team I am willing to let go, and thats Jones, he has been a great player, but when it comes to the playoffs, we are going to need someone who is going to be consistent at the 4 and play with intensity and not back down from other 4s in the West(ZBO,Griffin,Lee,etc) so I suggest we get Taj, he plays great individual and team defense, he can rebound big and is tough,he also hit a jumper, his range isn't far like Jones, but when in the playoffs his defense at that position will help tremendously. DMO can be our scoring off the bench since he will get a lot of post touches, and DMO can also play the 5. I like Jones a lot,but in the playoffs I feel he would get eaten alive. Jones + NO Pick(or Capela) for Taj Gibson. Bev/Cannan Harden/Terry Ariza/Pap Gibson/DMO Howard/Black
Best trade suggestion in this thread riddled by naive youngsters that don't know the value of team chemistry and intangibles.
I have suggested Taj a few times but as someone pointed out to me which now I have to agree with, this is not a realistic trade. Chicago is not letting Taj go for what we are willing to give up. They are chasing a title just like we are, Jones brings nothing to them (he's not as good as Taj and has been injured) and the NOP pick is nice but that would make them take a step back this year and next at least, which is something they are not willing to do.
