They do so don't give them the satisfaction of becoming popular. Don't click their articles, there's no need to even discuss it - just let it fade into oblivion without any reward for a crappy job. Any discussion of the author is beneficial to him in spreading the name, good or bad. He cherry-picked his information with bias - that's all that needs to be said about this. We should refrain from tweeting him, responding to him - that's the confirmation for doing a crappy job. In my opinion anyway.
So the best way to stop unethical journalistic practices is to be silent about those who engage in them?
His response to a 10 minute video is 3 screenshots? This guy is a really crappy Hollinger replacement. I used to love reading Hollingers stuff because it was data heavy and he wasnt trying to be skip bayless.
LOL @ egging houses. Anyway, if you say anything to him he'll just condescend to you or try siccing his followers on you. It's not even worth it. It was dumb of me to try logically engaging someone w/ #HateHard right in their profile, tbh.
I love the middle part, where he interprets 2 intentional, successful double-teams/traps as ball-watching. What a load of horse****.
Stupid BS written by Amin Elhassan. Yeah, some worse players are much more aesthetically pleasing . . . according to the not-wanting-an-MVP-candidate aesthetic. Um, winning is actually a result. Oh, this is not BS. Gosh, yeah, this defensive analysis is so sophisticated: you can't just look at if the other team fails to score. Sometimes playing good defense and letting the other team score is actually better than playing bad defense and not letting the other team score. Unless you need to points to win game. But sometimes a well-defended loss is better than a poorly defended win. Except in the last game of a playoff series, or the finals. Wait, I'm confused. Houston's strength of schedule is identical to Golden State's! It's not stopping the GSW circle j&@% at all. Dallas' is even weaker. Houston is above its expected win-loss, taking strength of schedule into account.
Unf**kingbelievable! Who pays this stupid ass to write that article? Who pays to read that dumb article? His logic is so wrong and twisted.
Then what the hell is everyone so butt hurt about? "All everyone here is saying is that Harden as been a good defender this year and he deserves props" So does the guy who wrote the article. "No one is saying he's an elite defender." So is the guy who wrote the article.
I for one am enjoying #HatingHard. I guess I just believe professionals should put out higher quality analysis than goobers on a fan message board.
Two of his reasons for why Harden is a bad defender are "He has bad body language" and "He closes out to the shooter too hard." I have no idea what body language has to do with defense, nor have I ever heard any coach talk about a player's bad D due to his body language, so I won't comment on that. But how is double teaming and then go back out to close hard on the 3 point shooter bad defense? Both of these things are what some of the best defenders do all the time. Heck, Beverley does this often, and he's 2nd-team defense. I don't mind someone telling me Harden isn't all-world defense. But if someone's getting paid to write about basketball seriously, he should probably not use Bill Simmons' "Body Language Doctor" or "he hustles back to closeout" to actually make a serious argument against defense.
We are talking about basically a glorified internet blogger who knew the right people to get in with ESPN whose clame to fame as of recently is a #hatehard campaign. You seriously want to find a blogger who treats his followers they are morons look no further than Amin. I've seen him go toe to toe with teenagers and when he gets stumped in his bs analysis he resorts to calling out grammatical errors ON TWITTER of all places. Best bet is to ignore this piss ant who has to be an Internet bully because he got made fun of in high school. Oh and the article is crap. Another opinion from a glorified blogger who obviously doesn't even watch the Rockets unless they play the Lakers, but feels inclined to let the world know how inportant their opinion is about it. Move on CF
