That's the Jim Crane slogan. At least we tried, buy season tickets!

I don't get the infatuation with Miller.

He's definitely had two very good years in 2013 and 2014, but his career ERA is still 4.91. Maybe he's definitely turned it around after a poor first 6 years in the league; I haven't seen him pitch since he was the centerpiece to the Miggy Cabrera trade.

Maybe there are some advanced statistics that show his improvements are sustainable over the next 4 years, but 36M is a lot for a reliever with only 2-3 good years out of 9.

We made the higher offer. 4/40. He chose NYY. Can't force players to come here.

He was a starter before, and stunk. He has been good as a reliever. Will his control stay is the only question.

I wonder who Miler's agent is... if its the one we f'd over in the Aiken debacle, you can basically cross out every single one of his clients as a potential target.

According to Miller, it came down to more than money. For whatever it's worth, he was at least complimentary of the Astros:

Jim Crane adopted the Special Olymlics slogan when it comes to Astros free agency: "Let me win, but if I do not, let me be brave in the attempt."

Jim Crane isn't the GM he just writes the checks.

And between Feldman, Fowler, Qualls, Crain and Albers. Astros increased payroll by 30 mil last season.
