NBA.COM official site just posted and tweeted this. As @DwightHoward rests, @TarikBlack25 and others are helping boost the @HoustonRockets lately http://t.co/lytjgp8330 http://t.co/gT5p8QlSn3
NBATV actually has very positive well rounded analysis (unless a TNT idiot like Charles or Shaq join in). The only problem I have with them is Dennis Scott and Isiah Thomas can bore you to tears. The starters will cover everyone, and really love alot of small market teams, but they think they are way funnier than they are. Still I'm kind of glad that they are allowed to exist. Just some good basketball fans talking hoops. NBATV does alot of things well, but I think they can learn something by looking outside of having on every other retired NBA player for entertaining analysis. What works for Inside the NBA on TNT with Kenny, Charles and Ernie doesn't mean it will work with Isiah, Dennis, and Vince.
I thought it deserves its own thread but this will do. NBATV has a best dou's tournament segment going on with 16 of the best dou's in NBA history. Jordan/Pippen, Erving/Malone, Cousey/Russell, Shaq/Kobe, West/Wilt, Magic/Kareem, Thomas/Dumars, Bird/McHale, Duncan/Parker, James/Wade, Frazier/Reed, Malone/Stockton, Barkley/Johnson, Durant/Westbrook, Nash/Stoudamire & Kemp/Payton. I'm sure y'all realize who was left off. Not saying they would have won tournament but it's complete disrespect to not have Olajuwon/Drexler represented in the best dou's tournament. 5 of those teams didn't even win a ring! In reality, Dream/Glide would elbow there way through the door on this tournament and one of the 5 ringless dou's would have best odds of winning the NIT!
I love it, it makes winning games we aren't supposed to win feel better. I hope it continues this way.
The amount of national media complaining posts on this board is too damn high. I say that pointing the finger at myself too, I've partaken. Media attention doesn't win playoff games or titles, so why do we care? Just keep taking care of business.
Charles Barkley called Klay Thompson the best SG in the league yesterday... I hope Chuck stays on that bandwagon, we dont need any of his mojo rubbing off.
