Lowry had his best numbers in his career at the time when under McHale. Dragic's breakout happened under McHale. Bev and even Canaan now under McHale. Lin disappointed his fans becuase they overestimated his ability.
Melo sweepstakes nixed this dream. I don't think Ariza would've come into play, so it'd be Lowry and fat Parsons rounding up the 2nd tier, likely with Persons ruining team chemistry and filling himself and Lowry with non "role player" ideas.
