That's from the Houston Chronicle. From what I understand, it was the same sort of taunt (except about his daughter) that provoked Maxwell to go and punch out a fan. ------------------ RealGM Rockets Draft Obligations Summary Gafford Art Artisan
I still say Maxwell shouldn't have been suspended for that. I don't want someone coming down to my job and calling me names. ------------------ "I have to say, I don't understand why these Rockets' fans are booing Scottie." -Calvin Murphy
What pathetic garbage they are. And security at those arenas are a joke. How come that fan wasn't kicked out of the building, that goes beyond basketball. You buy a ticket to see a game, not take personal shots at people. Idiots. ------------------ "I have a scale at home and it only goes up so far, I love that scale!" - Charles Barkley TNT Studios
this happened in LA too when the Comets met the Sparks. A fan taunted Van Chancellor about Kim Perrot's death and Van had to be restrained from going after him. ------------------
And thats why Utah and class will never mix. ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams fan club. Web site coming soon atheistalliance.org
That is pitiful by the jazz fans. I don't usaully condone violence but in a situation like that I wouldn't have minded seeing someone punch the guy. I bet if charles barkley was there he would have taken Shandon's back and beaten that guy a few times. That's why I had no problem with what Maxwell did. Players need to show restraint etc but when someone does something like that it is beyond basketball and something sometimes has to be done. What kind of idiot would make a remark like that? ------------------ Shane "Save Our Rockets" "Life without basketball in Houston........without an arena that is what it will be"
I can't seem to find a word powerful enough to express what a low-life that person is. Even lower than the classless thugs they cheer for. ------------------ GATER
GOD I HATE UTAH FANS!!! ------------------ Francis out top, 9 seconds on the clock, he gives a no look pass to Cuttino Mobley, 4 seconds left, Mobley passes to an open Langhi in the corner with 1 second left! Langhi at the buzzer.......YES!!! How Sweet It Is!!
I'll say!!! I walked right down to the floor to shake Calvin Murphy's hand and security didn't even get to me until after the fact, when I was on my way back to my seat. ------------------ Jazzkiller
I'm all for fans being fans. Yell, scream, rant, cheer, whatever, but this is just sick: Rockets forward Shandon Anderson was greeted with the now-customary boos upon his return to Utah. But the derision grew far uglier when Jazz fans behind the Rockets' bench made comments about Anderson's mother, who died before the season. Though the Jazz fans were generally not as vociferous during the introductions or during the game as they had been last season, the comments were so biting and personal that Anderson walked toward a fan to tell him what he thought of the shouts directed at him. I don't care how you feel. To degrade someone through taunts about his deceased relatives is just horrible. Nice going, Utah. ------------------ I am very very sleepy.
I was at the game and if I heard that I would have punched the b****. ------------------ Cuttino Mobley Online
Jeff, where did you get that from? ------------------ "Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever." - Gandhi
