Yeah, NO wouldn't trade Anderson for Asik, but they're gonna trade him for Dorsey and a pick they already sacrificed IN ORDER TO KEEP ANDERSON.

    Amazing.

He was right about Rubio improving. He was right about Isaiah Canaan. He makes valid points and logical arguments... Screw it, just lead the charge Zoplicone. Lets run him out of here!

What are the chances we could snag Faried from Denver? I've been reading rumors about how their FO isn't crazy about him and I think he would really fortify our front court next to Dwight. Particularly defensively and on the glass paving the way for Dmo to be a scoring big off the bench. I'm not sure what all would have to fall in line but I imagine Denver would like our draft pick and some salary relief with our Lin TPE especially since they are struggling in the early going. I figure we would have to give up one of our PF also, most likely TJ (once he's healthy).

Denver have won 6 of their last 7 games. They'll surpass the Pels this season, and maybe the Suns too.

I called him a joke for a different reason. But either way he predicted Rubio improving??? My god. He must know how to analyze basketball better than the rest of us cuz he predicted a young lottery player would improve with more time playing.

How do you know they wouldn't trade Asik for Anderson last summer (that rumor was from before Anderson got hurt)? I would think based on Morey's Melo/Bosh plans that HE would not have traded Asik for salary.

IMO the NO pick is more valuable to NO than anyone else once they realize their roster is not good enough to make the playoffs in the West this year.

The Dorsey inclusion was a joke because he adds nothing :).

If they aren't good enough now , does a 12-14 pick all the sudden make them a contender ?!

We need a back up wing to make up for Cisco and we need a backup big to make up for the injuries... if we can get one or both of those i think we are set.

anybody got any ideas as to who could fill those needs?

I really hope whatever deal we make is a typical Morey move at the deadline that doesnt mess with the current chemistry to much. Also im hoping we can hang onto Jason Terry, as I believe he will be a big part of our playoff run

We supposedly tried last year too, when Asik wanted out, but obviously at the time his trade value was quite lower than the summer. You make a good point about Morey not wanting to take on salary, I'll give you that.

Either way, I don't think NO would be willing to depart with Ryno. Their big rotation is amazing right now. All they need to do now is wait for Holiday to blossom alongside Davis and get rid of Gordon's contract to improve their wings. Maybe Tyreke needs to go too, with Davis and Asik you kinda want your 3 to be able to space and with Holiday you kinda want your 3 to not require the ball in order to do anything useful.

Anyway, I'm going off-topic. I just don't think the Pelicans would trade Anderson cause that's not the area they need to improve.

If they can shed both Gordon & Evans that clears ~$26.26m in cap room leaving them with ~$24.2m in cap space & nearly $37m under the tax line.
They could add significant talent with that cap space while retaining the strength of their team in the big man rotation - Davis , Asik , Anderson & Withey.
Kinda supports your statement above about not being willing to move Anderson as they don't have to do so to improve the roster. They have lots of options , especially if they could move the Gordon / Evans combo for expiring's / little to no salary in return.
Wonder what it would cost them to unload Gordon's 2 years @ $14.9m .... since they don't have picks to give up in a salary dump.

    I could see that.

I'm personally also interested in a lot of the guys Denver has. Lawson, Affalo, Gallinari, Mozgov, Hickson etc.

    Would something like this work?

    HOU out:
    Pelicans Pick
    one of the 2nd rounders
    Capela
    Dorsey (for salary purposes)
    Nick Johnson
    Houston in:
    Mozgov
    Affalo
    76ers out:
    Nerlens Noel
    76ers in:
    Pick
    Capela
    Dorsey
    2nd rounder

    Denver out:
    Mozgov
    Affalo

    Denver in:
    Nerlens Noel

Obviously there would need to be some tweaking because of the salaries, but I think this benefits everyone.

    They won't trade Noel.
Why not just directly trade rockets pelican first round pick, 2 rnd picks, Dorsey and capela for Noel.

Doubt the sixers will trade their future center.

No way they can shed Eric Gordon's albatross without the pick that the Rockets own.

I think they trade Noel because I don't think he fits with Embiid. Embiid will be their future centerpiece, not Noel. I think this season is to showcase him before trading him- either for a pick (to essentially get a do-over) or for a young prospect at one of the guard spots.

Would be nice but man are we just getting rid of garbage with no potential. Jones and Black need to be in there too to entice other teams lol.......

Even if the 76ers are willing to trade Noel, which I doubt, who in their right mind would trade Noel for Capela, Dorsey and a 2nd rounder? Who would trade ANYTHING for Capela, Dorsey and a 2nd rounder? That's the type of horrible deal you make to dump a useless contract, not potential all-D big.
