This is literally the perfect tea sip post! Thank you for taking the time to come here and let us Ags know that you still definitely don't care!
I didn't come in here to talk ****. I didn't insult anyone. I tried to explain mindsets because the topic at hand is a UT-A&M matchup. Buy yea, this type of rhetoric (tea sip and TU0 is why there isn't a ton of enthusiasm for the matchup but the nostalgia might takeover soon if not now.
I think this is accurate. Newer UT alumni favor OU. I spoke with a former UT player in his late 20's a while back, I was like "yeah, I bet y'all don't even care about the TAMU/UT game" -- or something to that affect.... His response was that donors and just about everyone associated with the program at a high level took it as the biggest deal in the world. TAMU/UT game was huge to them. But the students at the time? Not so much.
You are dead wrong, at least among the current student bodies at UT and A&M. For many students who grew up following the two teams, we hate that the game suddenly disappeared when we became students. I have friends at both universities who really want the rivalry to be reinstated. I know my graduating class had a 12:1 ratio of kids who went to A&M over UT, and I want nothing more than to play A&M again for bragging rights.
Boom. I was dead on accurate. 7-5 for A&M-College Station branch, and likely looking at the Texas Bowl
7-5, but damn that's not a very good team. Terrible offense Terrible defense $5 million dollar head coach(4th highest overall)
Again...you said 7-5 if A&M beat Missouri. A&M did not beat Missouri. So...you are still wrong. Isn't it a b**** when somebody uses your own words against you?
I was spot on with not only the 7-5 prediction, but also the fact that A&M was completely overrated being in the top ten earlier this year. We can all laugh abundantly at that ridiculousness, that's for sure. You've been reduced to arguing about the path to 7-5. Triviality. The fact is 7-5 is reality, and that's what I predicted -- accurately. Question -- will you make the trip to Shreveport to watch the Duck Commander bowl in person, or will you watch via tv? I'm assuming the aggies will do their best to avoid UT-Austin branch in the Texas Bowl. Put that in perspective -- trying to duck (no pun intended) the Texas Bowl. lmao #WRTS?
<iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/qf6CmiGGVzM" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> Bad calls happen, but when it is an offsides that obvious right in front of the officials, it is inexcusable for it not to be called. Terrible officiating right there.
I think they didn't call it since the guy got back to position and didn't have an advantage off the line. He definitely looks like his helmet is still on the line though. It should have been called but Allen should have never thrown that ball if he didn't see any flags fly. Pretty unfair but a learning experience for the young QB.
It was a bad call, but that wasn't why we lost. The one that pissed me off was when Myles forced a fumble on third down, and the officials blew it dead, and then LSU got to replay third down? What kind of crap is that? They scored their first points on that drive. Also, as far as that play goes - Kyle obviously didn't see a flag on the field, because there wasn't one. It should have been called, but we've all watched football enough to know that - hey, maybe they won't call that. It's not out of the realm of possibility. I don't like the decision to bomb it into that bunch of players. At least chuck it further. In any case, last night could have turned this into a pretty decent season if we had been able to pull out the victory. 8 wins with this group this year is not bad in my mind. 7 wins is disappointing.
Got tickets to the Texas bowl, hope you guys are coming to play the Longhorns. It will be one of the best bowls ever.
Go ahead...backtrack from your 6-6 maybe 7-5 if they can beat Missouri. Back peddling is your specialty. It isn't triviality...it was your lame ass commentary. You sure did take Rice losing to A&M awfully hard.
Howdy Aggies - Any early front runners for the DC position that may actually take the job? I've seen Will Muschamp's name, but really don't see him taking the job if offered. Any updates?
If you paid either of them enough, you could maybe get Pelini or Muschamp for a year or 2 until they get another good HC offer.
