I play alot, but i disagree on your opinion of walt, he is a great 3 point shooter in that game. My only problem with the game is that the computer runs a really slow offense and uses 24 seconds every time. otherwise, i think it is a great game. but where's Langhi? ------------------ Hakeem, Hasaw, Haconquered.

Walt is completely useless on All-star mode. Doesn't matter to me though. I just completed an 80-2 season and 15-0 playoffs with the Rockets on All Star Mode. ------------------ "Rarely is the question asked: Is our children learning how to put food on their family while being put to death."
Well, at least the game got the first 4 players that you mentioned right. Actually, that slow offense thing that KeepKenny was talking about seems pretty accurate for today's NBA, too. ------------------ "Thirty-seven?" -Randall, Clerks www.clutchtown.com
Francis is nice but I think I play best with the Spurs. I use the old Rocket scheme. Down low then pass it out to my three point threats from the bench. I run with the starters. ------------------ Fuggetabout it
There are a few problems with nba2k1 but overall I dig it. ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams fan club. Web site coming soon atheistalliance.org
I think the programmers actually tailored the game play to reflect each team's style. for example, the kings will run and gun on you while slower teams like new jersey will play at a more methodical pace. even still, i prefer the CPU to run the clock down a little, unlike the NBA Live series, where the CPU tends to shoot in the first ten seconds of each possession. my main beef is that half-second pause that freezes your players every time there's a steal or blocked shot, preventing you from picking up the ball. other than that, though, it's a lot of fun. although i still haven't won a game (after about 7 games), on PRO mode no less.
my first post: i'm sure this has been mentioned before, but using the Rockets on NBA 2K1 (Sega Dreamcast) is a lot of fun, mostly because of their backcourt and interesting bench. Steve Francis is unbelievable ... when he gets rollin', hard to stop him. Cuttino's shot is a bit erratic, but he's a valuable offensive spark. Walt is pretty useless on both ends. Bullard is good for a few threes off the bench. Hakeem is a monster down low. And Mo Taylor brings a double-double guaranteed. And I've actually discovered that (in the game, mind you) Jason Collier is a decent sub. Does anyone else here play NBA 2K1?
