My brother's friend copped some awesome seats behind the Rockets bench for last night's game against NY and invited us to go with him. We are all Greek and were pumped at the chance to see Kostas Papanikolaou play as we've been following him since his days in Athens. After some friendly Greek banter back and forth throughout the game he agreed to take a photo with us after the game.
Yeah we thought it was pretty funny to see the resemblance after reviewing the photo! It's all in the dark hair. My brother and his friend will catch up soon enough in the facial hair department too!
We yelled some of the cheers that they yell in Greece for his old team. Also toward the end of the game he peeled off the wrapping on his right hand and tried to give it to a trainer as a gift but the trainer wouldn't take it. I told him I'd take it and he gave me a look like I was crazy and shoved it down Nick Johnson's shirt. I also found it comical when the referees were reviewing a call late in the game he said "This game is over! Who cares?"
What's the kid with the cellphone doing right in the middle of it all? LOL Great to have so many Greek fans following Kostas and the team
