they got j. rich, dunleavy, jeri welch, and now pietrus. I know steve and j. rich wear the same shoe but i would like to see them in the same uniform. ANd i thnk they need a center.
So what r u trying to say? Who are we going to trade? Cato and Mooch for J-Rich? I'm willing to trade Cato if Badiane will be a rebounding monster!
How would we get J-Rich? I would like to have a Francs\Richardson backcourt more than a Francis\Mobley back court. Only problem is, Golden State would not trade him.
They would never part with Richardson, but they might part with Jeri Welsch, a 6-6 combo guard. With no disrepect meant for Norris, I would rather have Welsch in Moochie's spot in the rotation.
Chad Ford says it's either Richardson or Dunleavy. I prefer Dunleavy coz he's an all around better player. He'd be a better fit along side Steve than Richardson. I say we go for Mike D! ALA
cato and a first rounder for j-rich? trade mobes for a decent backup center (big and slightly more talented than collie) and i likes. i likes alot
I don't see there being any room whatsoever for Pietrus and J Rich on the same team. Personally I think Jason is poised for a breakout year while Pietrus is going to take at least 3 years to become an effective player in this league.
Dunleavy would be a perfect fit. He is probaly overhyped hes far from Larry Legend but he can hit the outside shot consitently. CD should check it out if hes really availalble.
Check out this article about the reasons they drafted Pietrus. http://www.oaklandtribune.com/Stories/0,1413,82~10835~1480865,00.html Sounds like GS may trade J-Rich because he can't defend anyone. I don't think they will want Cato because of Foyle and Dampier or anyone else on the Rox except for SF or Ming. I personally think J-Rich is way overrated.
Golden State is open to offers for Jason Richardson if they get a stud point guard in return. They are most likely going to lose Arenas and need to replace him so they will trade almost everyone on the roster. They will do a Fortson/Richardson type deal if it nets them someone like a Andre Miller. Well this is what I have heard around town here in the Bay Area.
I live in the Bay Area too. They need a point guard since Arenas is not likely to return, Earl Boykens in a free agent and Bob Sura is not a starter in the league. Jason Richardson has also been a bit of a disappointment. If you think Cat has problems shooting, Richardson has actually digressed since his rookie year. I get the feeling that the new guy they drafted was taken with the thought they might not resign Richardson. However, what do I know, I'm a Rockets fan living in Oakland.
Dunlevy has done absolutley NOTHING in this league. Eddie Griffin has shown more promise than Mike D.
what would jrich give us that we don't have? the guy has potential, but right now he's just a great leaper with a medicore jumpshot. he's very steaky and despite his athleticism doesn't get too the rim very often except when finishing a break. he may become a star, but i don't see that as certain and right now i don't think he'd help us much.
The guy on the Warriors that I would like to see the Rockets make a push for is Danny Fortson. Fortson's spent time on the injured list the past few seasons, but when healthy (and he has been healthy more than he's been hurt) Fortson has put up the best rebounding numbers in the entire league. It's been long enough since Fortson was given playing time that I think his stock has fallen and he may be able to be obtained for cheap.
Fortson has been nothing in this league for the past 3 years except salary cap cancer. He is untradeable for that reason.
