Is it just me or does this guy's skills and his looks portray a player from the past - Carl Herrera?

He seems to be a more athletic Carl Herrera.

From all the different blurbs I read last night, this is probably true. Carlos did only have a 3 1/2 inch vertical. However he had a year of major college basketball (if you want to call it that) and a year of pro ball in Madrid which is a much better team than what Badiene played for, so I'm guessing he's a lot more raw than Carl was.

Herrera was fairly athletic and skilled. Give him his due credit. Carl could face up and put the ball on the floor a little. Had a decent jumper and hook shot. Long arms.

I don't see much of a resemblance between the two.

Lets hope that Badiane doesn't get called for traveling as much as Herrera does.

Actually he sounds like Dream when he entered UH. A fast moving shot blocking defensive minded player that could get rebounds. He is also the same age, size and build as when Dream entered UH.

I'm not saying this guy is going to be the next dream, just that the description fits.

Yeah say it, do not hold back. I am taking HP very seriously with the examples he gave. However, I am comfortable viewing him as our Amare.

I describe this kid as a defensive treat, although, European players are famous to be defensive stopper. It could be a really goo pick, besides at 19 he can still exploit a lot of hidden talent.

If he brings the D he will make the squad because we only have 2-3 players that play any D at all.
