Win a champ. But to do that, you need fire mchale, trade the no-heart regular season-suited star players.

 

At this point probably win 2 titles in a row.

 

Get a better fan base which won't whine for every second.

Hey, we've earned the right to whine. The last time the Rockets had a lengthy playoff run, I wasn't old enough to legally buy alcohol(I'm now 37, BTW), Bill Clinton had just begun his 2nd term, and The Lost World was the top movie in the country.

 

If we continue to parade Black and Dorsey out there, we'll be the laughing stock of the league.

I wonder whether Harden is calling his agent to pressure Morey to do something about the roster.

 

Advance to at least the Conference Finals.. and don't lose in <6 games

Gaining respect versus "quieting the haters" are two separate things. The mid-to-late '00s Rockets were under-rated by many and guess what? TH=hey didn't win anything (injuries don't matter to the general population).

Playing in the WCF this year is the only easy answer to gain respect quickly.

 

Making past the 1st round is not happening. Forget about that.
