He was at the shoot around before the game, what he suddenly got a call at 8:30 PM and had to go meet his lawyer or head to GA to meet with the authorities just like that ? C'mon man, GTFO here w/ that crap. He bailed on his team, the fact that McHale was evasive and seemed pissed and was very short with his answers on what was going on means he wasn't made aware of Howards bail out until the last minute as well. Howard is a weak ass, irresponsible, F'off and his dedication to this team is questionable at best. I hate Kobe, but man he had this guy pegged completely. I have completely lost respect for this guy as a fan of this team. He is NOT the most dominant center in the NBA, has zero work ethic when it comes to improving the myriad of things he needs to in order to be a champion, all he knows how to do is bang hot chicks and knock them up and be an irresponsible POS if you ask me. Major character flaws with this dude, still acts like he is 18 instead of 29. If I were his team mate I'd be more than a little sick of his act....

Yes, you are right, we should have needed him to beat LA, but with the awesome combination of SUCK that is Dmo, Tarik Black, and Dorsey, sure looked like even if he played the last 5 mins of the game he would have made a difference, then again, maybe he would have started crying when Kobe called him soft and a p***y again...

Good god, people. His career doesn't show that.

The only thing we're learning is that we have a slew of drama queens ready to freak out with very little information in hand. Calm down and wait until we have some data.

Late scratch or not, whatever the reason was... there's no justifiable reason for him not to at least be out near the bench with his team during the game.

He didn't want to see certain people... and he didn't want people to see him... especially on camera and being recorded for all the world to see later.

    This isn't even debatable anymore.

Howard has very serious psychological issues, especially and specifically in the areas of insecurity and self confidence.

He needs to see a professional psychiatrist or specialist.

Otherwise , he will never live up to his potential or justifiably earn the money he's being paid.

Is it possible that the NBA advised the Rockets to sit Howard & keep him off air, due to their investigations into these abuse allegations? A national broadcast would've brought a lot of attention. He's probably in NY meeting with Silver today.

The NBA? No. The Rockets on their own accord? Possibly.

I'm not going say what Howard should have done, it does seem odd to me that he wasn't even on the bench, but that could be for a variety of reasons. Maybe McHale wanted to pull a pop and rest Howard against an easier team, maybe Howard's injury is worse than he/we/they thought, anything is possible. I have the suspicion we are being kept in the dark, but that's pure wild ass speculation at this point. It's also somewhat unwarranted as well.

If you're not into serious analysis, open discussion, and alternative opinions... then why do you even bother browsing a FORUM?

Seems to me that most people browsing and participating in forum discussions are simply trying to discuss the Rockets... and the only "drama" I can see is coming from posts like yours, calling people names and making no contribution to the discussions at all.

    Just sayin.
