Good Grief! Charlie Brown in CGI <iframe width="560" height="315" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/-XmV3zGifOE" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
I think there's been some successful re-imaginings of childhood stuff like Rin Tin Tin and Cloudy... so I'll be optimistic. Can't be worse than any of the Dr. Seuss stuff.
They need to keep the jazz and drop any popular "music." That song sucked and ruins the vibe of Peanuts. <object width="420" height="315"><param name="movie" value="//www.youtube.com/v/ZsXtq1GmBU4?hl=en_US&version=3"></param><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true"></param><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always"></param><embed src="//www.youtube.com/v/ZsXtq1GmBU4?hl=en_US&version=3" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="420" height="315" allowscriptaccess="always" allowfullscreen="true"></embed></object>
I like the style of CGI they're going with still gives it a 2d feel. I remember one of my favorite Peanuts movies was the one where I believe they traveled to France. Must have watched that one a dozen times when I was a kid
It will probably make a 10 billion dollars. Absolutely everybody, no matter what their age, LOVES Peanuts. Charles Shultz was a genius.
I don't know if its just my kids or not, but as excited as we try to get them all about all the Charlie Brown Holiday shows, they show no interest. They get into Frosty and Rudolph, but the Peanuts stuff, not so much. And watching it now, they are not the most exciting of cartoons. I guess there is way too much kids programming on right now to appreciate how big of a deal the Charlie Brown stuff was growing up.
