first person mode better graphics more songs on the soundtrack That's it. Still debating myself if I want to repurchase this.
Probably waiting until Friday to pick up GTA5, I skipped it last generation cus I knew it would be ported. I'm very excited to play it, especially in first person. **** Far Cry 4, and **** Ubisoft in general I'm sick of their deceptive business practices. At this rate when The Division is finally released it's going to look like a xbox 360 game. (Respect to Rocksmith and Rayman, which are both amazing)
Is first person POV mode available for the entirety of the game? Out of the three factors, it seems like 1stPOV is the only thing that really matters. Had a blast playing GTA5 on the PS3, but if it was me, I wouldn't rebuy it.
Yes. If I were to rebuy, I would just play the whole game in first person mode. I don't doubt that it would be entertaining, but $60 to go through the same story again? not so sure it's worth it.
Far Cry 3 is one of the few games i've actually finished in years -- I definitely will be getting FC4, but not until it's cheaper.
For such a fancy high end console, it only runs at 1080p and 30fps. I would settle for 720p and 60fps. IMO, there's no noticeable difference between 720p and 1080p. I wasn't a believer in 60fps but once I saw for myself, well, I guess I'm a bit spoiled.
That's your opinion. I find the difference between 720 to 1080 extremely noticeable. 60fps is preferred, but I think you underestimate just how much horse power is freed up from only having to update those pixels half as often. It's a larger difference than lowering the resolution. The game wouldn't look as good if they aimed for 60fps, and that's a fact.
Well I invite you to play The Last of US on PS3 (30fps). And then give the PS4 version a try. It looks just as good but with a smoother framerate.
Uh what is your point? It's also in 1080p and a last gen game with a much more narrow scope. Most of the time you're in very cramped areas with a few monsters. You're not simulating a city with traffic and so on. I've played it on PS4 and the foliage among other things is very last gen. Great game, looks great, but doesn't help your point at all. It wasn't difficult to make that game run at 1080p and 60fps because the scale is like 1/20th of a game like GTA. Beuler?
Unfortunately, it seems like the CPUs in XBO and PS4 are limiting developers from really going for 60FPS. 30FPS -> 60FPS (especially a locked 60) seems to be a much bigger deal than 720p(or less) -> 1080p. Resolution increases are pretty easy, but increasing frame rate is not (especially if certain things, like animations, were designed with 30 FPS in mind). Developers are trying to move some tasks that have generally been on the CPU over to the GPU, but that seems to be going slowly...maybe not so well if Unity is any indication (I hope not). In any case, get used to 30 FPS games on PS4/XBO, even if they are just remasters from the previous generation.
Is GTA5 a complete game with new story or is it just GTA4 with an expansion? I'll just wait to add ons from PS store, thanks.
saw this comparison between the PS4 and XO versions of GTA V Xbox One version (the one with no grass) looks last gen.
