I mean that's part of his job, but let's look at it. Right off the bat I recall him chasing down a few very crucial defensive rebounds. He had the highest +/- on offense in the game, and believe it or not his 40% shooting from the field on 4-10 shots was the best tonight on both sides. I will take 40% shooting from anyone on a night where both teams shot under 29% in a 69-65 game.

    His stat line:
    12 points
    1 assist
    0 turnovers
8 rebounds in 29 minutes for a PG
    2 steals
    3 fouls
    2-2 FT

Reggie Jackson who is having a monster season averaging 22/8/4:
    15 points on 3-11 shooting
    4 assists
    4 turnovers
    11 rebounds
    5 fouls
    1 steal
    37 minutes
    9-9 FT

He played well on defense and offense, and he was excellent on the boards.

This was a chippy (football) game where everyone had to box out there man and the guards had to chase down rebounds.

What a craptastic game of suck, we get the win, but wow that was painful to watch in every possible way. Howard has got to get his s*** together on the FT line. If he shoots 50% tonight we win an ugly game by 3 possessions, and on that topic practically everyone else but Harden sucked ass at the line, is this the virus that Dwight was sick with and it's spreading to the rest of the team ?

Howard has serious problems at the line, but tonight was just a wrestling match. It is tough to judge anything from this game. OKC came into the game determined to play physical and the refs let it go.

If you've ever played in a game like this, you know how hard it is to shoot free throws when you can barely lift your arms. It is like working out with weights on max reps and then trying to shoot with touch. You can try to do it, but you aren't going to be very successful.

Thank you to Philly and OKC for helping teach our guys mental toughness.

The chippiness of the game affected the guys. When we can find different ways to win, that'll help us well further down in the season.

OKC is our toughest matchup. They really load up at the rim and play the Rockets physical, which makes long shots even tougher to hit.

This is the one team where I feel like you have to be willing to take some mid-range shots to be successful. The Rockets refusal to do so makes it really tough to score against this team...particularly when those 3s aren't going in.

Was great to grind out the W, but too many players on the team right now aren't shooting the ball with confidence.

    9-1 sounds soooooooo sweet!

Winning ugly isn't always fun, but it shows that we can win with our D when our offence isn't going. So happy with another win!

Glad I missed the game, I'll take the win though. Win ugly, win pretty, still a win.

The key to beating OKC is having a stretch 4. Someone who forces Ibaka to guard him at the three point line. We can either go small or hope D-Mo and Jones makes him pay, but take away their most mobile shot blocker and Perkins is too slow footed to help. If he does then Dwight is wide open for the dunk. The problem if we go small is rebounding, and Ibaka knows how to utilize his length and athleticism to grab rebounds on both sides when teams go small.

They take away our lay ups, forcing us to shoot contested jumpers because our offense becomes predictable when we can't score off the drive.

Our best bet is making our PFs practice their 3 pointer a lot before we play them. I mean we can go small and have everyone crash the boards, but Ibaka.

    Where's the problem??

A team that suffered last year because it had no defence just ground out the ugliest win in over 10 years. Houston, we have no problem.
Unless you think Harden is going to shoot sub 40% for the season (yeah right)

After this game I now hate the Thunder. Used to have respect for them but no more.
