he played a decent game, even with those 2 kwahi steals. I guess Pop respects Lin enough to the point to put him on him, and know Laker's offense sucks with Kobe chucking dem shots. 1-14
Robert Sacre is the grandkingdaddy of scrubs. Watch his reaction in the background. When Sacre gives you the WTF shrug.........
LMAO, first time Jeremy smirked and was like damn, he got me. Then the 2nd time he's like WTF IS THIS **** But I'm surprised Pop put his best defence guy on Lin.
Lin is really a mediocre player and it is showing, he should be doing more if he was an All Star talent, he gets enough of the ball
Nah, pop just saw an easy chance to pick the ball. It's no secret lin can be easily pressured into forcing a TO. Stealing candy from a baby. also, ppl whine about kobe, but lin is on the worst team in the league and gets free reign a lot of the time. His stats are inflated-- see the James posey effect. Completely diff situation to a guy like Bledsoe in phnx. It's time for Lakers and kobe to part ways. Brooklyn would probably love to have him.
This. Popvich is an opportunist. Its not really a secret that Lin has weak handles and cannot handle ball pressure.
A reddit post from the post game thread: Lakerslwang 4 points an hour ago I'm a Lin fan. Linsanity was my introduction to basketball. I've been rooting for this guy every step of the way. I don't think I've ever seen a game from him this bad. Not statistically or anything. Just a complete lack of heart, effort and willingness to lay it all out on the pine. There's no excuse for the lack of care, attention and drive he displayed tonight. Two easy steals from Kawhi. Entirely unmotivated to attack the rim, or shoot that off-glass jumper he does so well. About the only thing he showed vigor in was defense, and he still let Cory Joseph drive by him far too many times - I say 'let' because they always happened when Lin cheated inside, which after somewhat effectively guarding Parker was like 'WTF'? The time for excuses is over. He's got to stop caring about his efficiency and just play his game. If he gets into the paint, he's got to look to score or find his big, because otherwise he gets in his head and loses his handle. No point in doing the wide-3 kickout - no one will be there anyway. Just attack like its Linsanity. It's not going to be the same - but I'd rather Lin take more shots than Wes Johnson and Boozer, and it will also open Kobe up for more effective shots. It's your contract year, Lin. Do something about it. http://www.reddit.com/r/nba/comments/2mcv2o/spurs_beat_lakers_9380/
Lin played fine. People keep forgetting he's just a role player. 15 pts, 4 assists and 4 rebounds is just fine for him.
It seems crazy considering the stereotype Asians have of being smart but I think the problem with Lin is he just has low bball IQ, the athletic skills and the natural ability is there but he's just too dumb to put 2 and 2 together to end up with 4. It's pretty clear Lin should've focused on his handles, watched tape and his 3 pt shooting in the offseason, but for whatever reason he worked on secondary stuff like finishing with his left hand or whatever. If you think about it there are already 3 teams who gave up on him (GS cut him, NYC chose to not to match his contract, Rox gave up a pick to trade him), and with the way he's playing do you think LA will offer him more than the minimum at this point?
You guys know that Pop saved Lin's career by taking Kawhi off him after those two steals right? He felt sorry for the poor boy.
