The whole team's been worthless the last month. But yeah, given the bevy of talent I have at the RB situation, that's partly what I'm basing this hope on along with his monster game against Oakland earlier this year. He's playing the Woodhead role so Matthews won't be out there on every snap. Also, Matthews is made of glass. Would it surprise anyone if he got hurt Sunday?
I'd be more inclined to go with Hyde versus the Giants. I'm not expecting much out of Montee Ball, and I have to decide between him and a gimpy Lamar Miller facing a tough D off a short week. My RBs in a 12 team PPR: DeMarco Murray, Lamar Miller, Rashad Jennings, Montee Ball, Daniel Thomas With Murray on BYE, I'm going to go with Miller over Ball. Even though trends are against me, I'm going to stick with expected usage over potential usage every time. I don't like it, but I'm hoping for a goalline TD or 6 catches and 70 total yards. To me it is a safer play than the question mark of Ball. Either way I'm expecting a loss this week, but you try to manage with what you have.
Two parter: Pick two to start: Ben Tate, McKinnon, CJ Anderson, Bob Rainey. 2nd part: Thinking about adding M. Bryant, but not sure who to drop (non-ppr). Who would you drop (if any) out of Doug Baldwin or Andre Johnson. Baldwin (and Wilson for that matter) have been rough lately, but at least Baldwin is the #1. AJ has been terrible this year but struggling to drop him.
I'd start Anderson and flip a coin between the other 3. I think I'd drop Baldwin over Johnson until we see if Mallet's arm makes any difference in Andre's fantasy value. Wilson has never been one to favor any of his receivers.
I dropped AJ last week before they announced that Fitz was benched. It will be interesting to see if AJ has better chemistry with Mallett. I just hope he still throws to Hopkins who is my #2 receiver.
I agree with moe on Anderson definitely, but based on usage I'd probably go with Tate, he's playing his former team, and I would think they at least try to get him a goaline TD. After him I'd go with Bob Rainey.
The Browns backfield is completely hot-hand. The worst thing imaginable for fantasy purposes. I did forget Tate was facing the Texans though. He may have something for them.
8 person standard league pick 3 WR: desean jackson, calvin johnson, aj green, mike evans (gut feeling has me with jackson, johnson, green) pick 2 RB: andre ellington, leveon bell, rashad jennings, jerick mckinnon, cj anderson (gut feeling has me with ellington and bell) pick 1 TE: gronk, antonio gates (definitely gronk) pick 1 flex: anyone not selected above thanks
pick 3 WR: Not sure if serious??? I should be picking 1.... But to answer the question, I'll go with Jackson, Johnson, and Green. Although Evans could easily have a monster day. pick 2 RB: Le'Veon Bell (who should never be on your bench) and CJ Anderson. Ellington would've been a tough start even IF Carson was playing, but since he's not, I'd rather go with the guy who you KNOW will get touches. pick 1 TE: yes....Definitely Gronk. As a matter of fact, I think you should drop everything you have to try and trade Gates unless you're still concerned about his health, in which case I guess you should hold him for depth. pick 1 flex: I would probably use Evans as my flex.
I can only pick 3: TY Hilton, Julio Jones, Emmanuel Sanders, Randall Cobb, Golden Tate This 8 team league stuff is rough
Haha, actually it is very rough. I've been in a 4-team league (roomates in college) a 6, and an 8. 10 or 12 to me is the perfect number. But I digress....I'd definitely say Sanders, you almost have to choose Cobb because that game will either be a shootout or a Packer Blowout, and you probably should bench Tate because they've got legit CB's that can guard him. As far as TY vs Julio, that ones tough. Because Julio was playing against a terrible division opponent did good last week, and was an "underthrow" away from putting up big points, and TY has been awesome against EVERYBODY. In a game that should be a shootout, I think I'd go stupid and start TY over Julio. TY, Cobb, and Sanders
Thats who I have in right now based on production alone. Cobb doesn't put up big numbers but he's a scoring machine. TY hasn't had under 8 points since Week 2. Sanders is as consistent as they come. Julio is facing the Panthers secondary (Although Maclin was locked down most of the night). Decisions, decisions.
My team is getting killed by the BYE this week. I've had to pick up 3 free agents just to field a team Bryce Brown or Darren Sproles? .5 ppr
If Alfred blue is out there I'd snag him. Arian missed practice again today and is officially questionable for Sunday's game. If not I'd go Sproles personally. He looked good last week.
Mathews and Hill. Brown is risky. I am forced to start him as an owner of Demarco Murray and Gio Bernard, though. My 1st place position is seriously at risk this week.
I'd go Sproles as well. He has a lot of TD upside. Brown is going up against a strong Miami run defense plus Dixon might steal a lot of the action. Sproles is the more talented player and after last week I would expect him to get more carries. He has shown he can produce with limited carries.
