I'd like to see someone like Tristan Thompson come our way.
23 and a PF being paid around $4mill a year. Believe contract negotiations stalled (read somewhere he's after around $12mill - too much? Yes but that could possibly be negotiated down).
We're after another big and he's got the stats and experience to make an impact now and we have the minutes he's looking for.
Plus (despite being Canadian :) he's a former Texas Longhorn.

    Millsap with a huge line tonight. 30pts, 17rebs, 2blks, 50% (4/8) from 3.

He's almost too perfect for our starting five.

our backup big will come Denver

    mozgov
    hickson
    McGee
    nurkic

I doubt they move nurkic because he's young, good, and cheap. McGee makes too much. One of the other two could fit into the trade exception.

Mozgov would be great but no way he we get him for just exception or 2nd rounders. He's got value around the league I f he's traded

I would like to trade Joey Dorsey for Anthony Davis.

I have given up on Joey.

I think everyone never had too much hope he would ever get it. Just too small and, honestly, not the highest basketball IQ to make up it a la Chuck Hayes. Regret that 2 year deal. Adrien would be used much more and effectively.

what's corey brewer's contract look like? He's basically a trevor ariza clone. Would love to see him acquired as a backup 3&D player. Minny ain't going anywhere for the near future and corey is no longer a young buck, but maybe they see him as a vet. presence for wiggens and the rest of their young players.

While I would love to have Dieng, I think we would need a little more out of Minn in order to give up our NOP 1st.

my thoughts exactly. He's basically Trevor Ariza. Runs the court well on fastbreaks, hits catch and shoot threes, and plays defense. Would be fantastic to have him in our rotation. Would hate to move Kpap (hope it doesn't happen) but if we have to give him up to acquire a big fish then please acquire brewer.

Rubio and Brewer package would be very interesting.

well i didn't realize Brewer's 3pt shooting was so below average. I guess he just goes crazy when he sees rocket red. I take back my trade suggestion.

...after reading the Grantland article about Rondo, I have renewed faith that he is the guy we should target. I remember him being the best player in that Cle/BOS series but I forgot just how dominant he was. Any way we can get him without giving up Jones or Papa? Or maybe we switch Bass for Jones(I could live with that).

...it just sucks because I really like Papa and I'm sure other teams want to grab him in a trade now.

Corey Brewer and Ariza are not even close to being the same player.

I think hes worth a mid first rounder. Particularly when NOP looks pretty solid and may end up as an 8th seed or maybe around 9th

He was a decent corner 3 shooter at one point. Not sure if that was just a fluke or a shot selection issue (even if it is...the dude cannot stop cherry picking and being an idiot offensively so probably not someone you really want).

Would anyone take a punt on Garnett next year? Another veteran presence on the roster can help the younger guys and make a bigger push in the playoffs.

(Provided that the price is right)

I'm all for this. Rockets could use an upgrade for the backup PF/C minutes.
