What do I think? Shut up.

How do you want to get T.J. and Elton Brand?

That's because quite a few of us have seen him play in person- and it was AMAZING for a 1st- and 2nd-year point guard.

    Yetti,

You've been on the board long enough to know not to start stupid threads like this.

Its like me starting a thread that says we need to get Duncan and Shaq if we want a championship.

I just quoted the Doctor of Dunk :).

Anyway, if we had 5'11 T.J. Ford running the point and 6'3 Steve Francis playing SG, we'd be too small.

I see where you are coming from Yetti,
with Francis moving to the 2 guard, we need a good playmaker. T.J. Ford will be a good fit. We need a playmaker as our Rockets was one of the worst Assists term in the league last year.

We do want to have Elton Brand if at all possible.
Although it might be quiet difficult to get both.

first off let me say that i have never enjoyed a single post by yetti. i personaly think that he and other yao-only posters have ruined this site. however, i 100% agree with getting TJ. the fact that many of us have seen him play (i saw every UT game for the past 4 seasons) is what leads many to believe that he could be great. this guy is just one of those players that makes everybody better. his play will only improve when the talent around him improves (sorry brandon, predator, royal, and quadruple B). i cant tell you how many assists bounced of of players faces and hands.

Yeah! Let's send out people who can play now to pick up an undersized, no shoot PG who won't get the NBA game down for a few seasons. That way the team can constantly be rebuilding. Watch out Clippers. Here we come.

If you want a PG, please get one who's been in the league a few seasons like Andre Miller.

P.S. There were tons of people on this BBS pining for Chris Mihm when he was drafted. So JPM0016's post does have some validity.

Getting Ford would mean good bye to one or more of these Rockets
    Kelvin, Cat, Eddie, Rice

Id much rather use the"trade bait" on a PF like a Rasheed Wallace or a Elton Brand. Or if the Clips manage to land TJ than Andre Miller would be there for the taking.

I wouldnt mind getting TJ but better and more proven talents could be brought in wth the Rockets bait.

I Like Tj Ford...alot! I saw him do a interview on Fox and I'm no man to judge another but TJ Ford seemed like the kind of guy 99.9 percent of the world could kick it with but Steve Francis.. man...i dont know.. 4 years..im still waiting. But hey Yettie, we get Ford, and I'll be so stoked that I will trade you my 1995 cherokee in for your secret organic recipe for living purity.

Yetti, peace, drop by the office sometime ;)

Rudy-ISO ball + nothing even resembling a fast break = no assists.

Now that ISO-ball is over (hopefully), I'm willing to see what Stevie can do with an actual offensive game plan.

TJ would be nice, but I just don't think it's going to happen. Plus, we don't need anymore guards that can't play D.

I didnt say TJ didnt deserve to be liked...

just not right for this team at this time.
His shooting and D are suspect(from what I hear)..
and we need another guard that can D up people, true?
Cat did a decent job last year, but Steve's D was next to non-existent.

Do like others here want, and put SF at the 2 and bring in TJ...where is the Defense in that lineup?

nothing against your boy TJ...but if we are going to acquire another guard, he better bring some D to the table or we need to send him back to the kitchen.
