I was talking to a friend of mine, and we agreed on our order, but I wanted to see what you think could be the order from best (1) to worst (5) for these teams:

    2015 Houston Astros
    2015 Houston Dynamo
    2014-2015 Houston Rockets
    2015 Houston Texans

In what order do you think these will end up?
I realize it's a bit unfair to include the Rockets, since you've more than likely see them play.

    Here's what I said:
    4. Dynamo - new coach, little to no offense, will have an inexperienced goalie
    3. Texans - will end badly in 2014, will have a good pick in 2015, but not better than this year, still no playoffs
    2. Astros - promising young pitching core if untouched, good hitting in Altuve, Carter, and other supporting cast, will make playoffs
    1. Rockets - Howard is finally mature, Harden improves his defense, Ariza and Terry were superb free agent pickups

We've had sports mediocrity in the last few years what with the exception of probably the Texans and Dynamo... and the Rockets have disappointed with such a good team. I think it's time for a Rockets championship.

    1) Rockets (obviously the only good team in town)
    2) Dynamo (If they add a few defenders, I think they will bounce back fine, new coach could fire up the team a bit)
    3) Astros (don't know much about the astros honestly, they seem to be doing better)
    4) Texans (until they get a QB they are gonna be garbage

2, 3 and 4 will all probably be bad next year, so they are probably all interchangeable

My main point with the Dynamo was the new coach, who doesn't know the MAIN CORE of players, and with the Texans, that as long as there isn't a "franchise quarterback", it will be a bit of a shot in the dark or difficult to gauge until they start playing. You know?

    #1 - Astros

Yes it's surprising to put them at the top because their expectations from fan support are not as high as the Rockets and the Texans. I believe they can be competitive by September and at least contend for that 5th place/wild card playoff spot.

    #2 - Rockets

They are still undefeated so far in the regular season and having their best start since 1993-94 but success in the postseason is all that matters. "Can they reach the NBA Finals?" is the question from every critic/expert in the sports media. The Rockets' expectations for this season are at a all-time high in Red Nation including right here in the world of ClutchFans.

    #3 - Dynamo

It's too early to tell with a new general manager and soon a new head coach to be named later in a few weeks. I don't like to call it a "rebuilding mode" because they still have some nucleus of players on their roster. New expansion teams and going back to a loaded and stacked Western Conference, there will be a lot of moves during the offseason and transfer window in winter.

    #4 - Texans

The lack of a quality quarterback in a league that requires superior play at the position will hold this team back at times. Hopefully, Mallett can turn it around and also Foster, Johnson, Hopkins, Watt, Cushing and Clowney give this team building blocks to bounce back to respectability. Teams that run the ball and can play defense are always competitive. There will be more close games, and expect Houston to win its share of them this time. It’s a bit too optimistic to expect a worst-to-first place season and dethroning the Colts in the AFC South. But Texans fans have reason to expect progress.
