I remember when I posted something about Islamists in Nigeria murdering people. The same apologist crew immediately rushed in to attack me, saying "this is tribal", "the Christians are doing it as well", "you know nothing about Africa", "bigot", "crusades", "but Israel", etc. etc. etc.

Since then, we have all seen what Boko Haram has been doing. They have been murdering, raping, kidnapping, enslaving scores of people - all in the name of Islam.

The reaction from the apologist crew?

    Dead silence.

But when Israel defends itself against terror...oh, they will be outraged.

The Islam apologists. People like you who are quick to rush in and claim that whatever happened (beheadings, rape, enslavement, kidnapping, murders, subjugation of women, death penalty against gays, death penalty against apostates, bombings) "has nothing to do with Islam". People like you who feel compelled to attack posters who believe that these things do have something to do with the ideology of Islam.

I wonder if the accused would ever be described as British Canadian if he were Canadian of British origin.

Why on earth we know that he's of Persian origin or possibly Muslim tells the whole story here. Could be he's a rapist. Could be he's not. I find it hard to believe 8 women will collaborate to make something up like this. But why he is not just Canadian when he engages in this behavior and is accused of it is amazing.

Just like the thousands of Germans who are fighting for ISIS. When Germans want to talk about people leeching on welfare, they refer to them as Muslims. When they go to Iraq and kill innocent Iraqis and Syrians and Kurds, etc. they are Muslims. When they are an integral part of a World Cup winning squad, they are Germans of course. If they denounce the label of "Muslim" then they are a great example of tolerance in German society.

It's a sick way of thinking about things, and I'm so familiar with it in the reverse. In the Middle East when Zinedine Zidane does something, he's the Arab Muslim dude even if he never says he is. Salma Hayek is hot because she's got the girl next door Arab look. George Clooney is a great actor because he's marrying a Syrian girl. French Montana is a genius!! Ben Affleck must have some Middle Eastern blood in him.

It's just racism. It's not yesterday's racism. It doesn't breach the antiquated lines of today's racism. But it is clearly in breach of tomorrow's racism. And that's how racism has always been. It evolves, and it always treads the lines of today's standards, and fights hard not to let that line change. In the 1950's what they considered to be racism was vastly different than what we do today. That's how racism works. it is unquestionable that there are things people do today which are indicative of racism, but we will not acknowledge them for a while, and then we'll look back and say "can you believe people used to say that?"

It's incredible to watch really. It's amazing to me that the countries who are best educated and well experienced with racism having dealt with so much immigration - that these countries still tolerate this kind of behavior to be embedded in their media - whether social media or otherwise. I'm not shocked that there is racism in Germany or China or Egypt. I am shocked that racism is leading the charge from countries built entirely on immigration - like Canada and the United States. I would think that such countries would be leading the charge in other directions, and indeed I get a sense that the educated citizens of these countries have come to understand this issue deeply, certainly those who have access and willingness to connect on a more profound level to any and every culture. But as always it is their representatives that fail them, and the majority of corporate media which exacerbates that failure by eating from the hands of the representatives.

Don't fall for this crap. A person is not defined by any one thing. No one is just their nationality. Just their religion. Just their whatever label. Everyone has a childhood and an upbringing and environment and a community and a brain and a medical history and a personality and a personal culture and opinions and education and parents and siblings and teachers and yes, a place they were randomly born into, a religion which was drilled straight into the brain and a race which they just happen to be.

Nobody asked Mesut Özil to denounce the label of "Muslim", and last I checked, he is quite popular in Germany.

So, basically, all your self-victimization crap above is already proven wrong.

From my travels around the world, I can safely say that currently, nobody is more racist than Arabs living in the Middle East (on average, of course, not everyone!). They treat South Asians like subhumans. And, in fact, the UAE, the government of which you work for, are among the worst offenders as far as that is concerned. So spare us your holier-than-thou bullcrap.

Personally, every claim I have made has been substantiated with facts and data. Perhaps if I had used un-sourced colored maps from an email chain or fuzzy, edited youtube videos, you would have found them more compelling. I understand you're fond of lumping people into one big group, but I can't speak for the rest of these "people like me."

Also, that's a fine lookin' strawman you got up there. Go slay him, mighty western warrior. Go slay him and the internets will be yours!

There's no point in engaging with him. He will simply twist your arguments around and when backed into a corner lob insults at you. It's a complete waste of time to try to be rational with that thing.

How are you going to compare an Iranian to an Arab?

So it should be pretty easy for you to find examples of unsubstantiated claims ... but I don't see you referring to any ... curious.

Is this yet another empty accusation, ATW?
