I think overall, you gotta go with Washburn. Dude only played 3 seasons and a total of 72 games, never averaging more than 4 pts. All that for a #3 pick. Egad.

sam bowie was taken for sake of trying to get the best player for the team. they already had clyde at the time and getting jordan may have been in their eyes bad to overload at that one spot. had the blazers had the first pick that year they obviously would have taken dream and not sam bowie. bowie never panned to be great but he wasnt that horrible imo his deficiencies are magnified because he was just picked ahead of jordan. just because you got picked ahead of a person shouldnt automatically label you as a bust, people knew MJ was good but they never thought he was gonna be the player he was (at least not everyone)

Am I the only one still hurting from the fact we didn't trade Ralph for Clyde and Jordan? Of course it wasn't a good deal at the time. Big men are more prized, but I just think of the endless possibilites.

How is Bowie a better bust than Washburn?

You fools, this isn't about who was picked before/after the guy.
