OP, seriously? I heard the segment too, you aren't telling the whole story or being fair. He said "Sounds about right" and then followed it up mentioning how deep the west is and how the race will be closer this year than last year (4-8 being separated by 5 games). He also said that he could see us getting no love on paper due to losing Asik/Parsons/Lin, because that's how the preseason rankings are made.....from paper analysis. Never once did he say anything negative about our team. Why even post anything about this unless you are going to tell the entire story? You deserve neg rep for this one, sir!
lol I think we can win against west conference power teams. Every team has a bad night but over all they will do at least what they did last year with this team if it stays somewhat healthy.
To me, it is really too early to say. The problem is that the bench is pretty much untested. Black and Canaan are completely new to the NBA. Terry's production has been declining for the last two years. We should not judge their effectiveness based on preseason and the first few games of the season. We all know that both Jones and Motiejunas had great performance the first few games when given significant minutes. And we all know how unreliable they were subsequently.
Um maybe you missed the point or didn't read my whole post. I was being sarcastic with the thread title. It was meant as satire about the way clutchfans handles national media criticisms with such sensitivity.
This doesn't bother me. What bothers me is that the coach seems to feel that way too. In my opinion the coach should be motivating these guys, we have the players to be very very good.
Step back in what regard? paper power? sure, Asik is the biggest loss there, but a name on paper is all he really was for 80% of the season last year.
The difference between 4th seeth or 8th seed might be like 5 games, so we are talking about a couple games here or there. Why exactly is it some grave disrespect to say we are 7th?
Because they give the benefit of the doubt to other squads, yet the masses choose not to give it to the Rockets for flawed reasons. A true conclusion cannot come from a false premise.

If you believe that Harden is the best SG and Dwight the best center then you simply cannot then believe that the rockets will finish below 4th. True, those other teams are good... But don't have the best SG and center. When is the last time such a team finished 8th? Our superstars are doubted and the players we let go are suddenly better. Bill Simmons said Dallas would use Parsons better because here he was just a spot up shooter... Lol

We did't loose Lin We got rid of him, by doing so, we won.. Hope soon we do the same with Dorsey & Garcia, can't give away those two spots for charity
