Great Asik Trade

Agreed. The ideal big man rotation: 2 bigs that can play center for 48 minutes and defend the rim, and control the defensive paint and glass combined with a big that can flat knock down the 3-balls in a hurry.

I think they have the best 4-5 combination in the league.

Can you imagine if they could acquire Rondo while keeping their 3 bigs together? They could get very nasty very quickly.

 

First off it's 1 game. Will Asik put up those numbers daily ? maybe, maybe not.
Secondly, the pick is not meant to be drafted by us, it is meant as trade bait.
Lastly, Howard was in foul trouble 1 game, and I think Black did a great job defensively.

I don't get how Asik, Davis and Nikola Vucevic all had such great stat lines in the same game.

 

There offense will become stagnant with Asik inability to finish and zero post game will become a challenge. We all saw it with the Rockets. HOWEVER, awesome 1st game with the unibrow!!

 

Check the shooting percentages for these bricklaying monsters of the midway, I don't think they shot over 40% from 2 and 30% from 3... They built a new stadium last night in 48 minutes!!

can definitely compete for a spot in the playoffs. And if they get there, I wouldn't be surprised if they made some noise.

 

You don't get rebounds over one player. Asik was not in the game every minute Vucevic was. Pelicans also shot the ball 101 times and only made 40%. Lots of rebound opportunities, but Asik still had 7 offensive rebounds.
