I would understand these rankings if we lost Parsons and didn't manage to replace him. But we replaced him with a player who is at worst a slight downgrade over Parsons. Do people seem to value Jeremy Lin and Omer Asik that much? Our record without Omer was better than our record with him.
Have you seen who they are replacing Lin and Asik with? I think that after any offseason where you lose 3 clearly rotation-worthy players and gain only 1, you should get some crap until you win enough games to justify yourself.
Asik was non-existent most of the regular season, he didn't contribute anything, he is one of the reasons they had locker room problems. I can understand Cannan-Lin comparisons but Asik ?????
How many games and avg minutes did ask play last season? What was the record with him playing vs him not playing? What % was Lin playing with Beverly?
What's wrong with Memphis..? They get a full season out of Marc Gasol. They played game 7 w/o ZBO and the whole series w/o their back-PG who is a solid back up for Mike Conley. Conley is a top 10 point in the league. Gasol and Zbo will beat up other bigs. They're still a great defensive team. Their coach is solid. The only thing I hate about their off-season is that they lost Mike Miller, and that they're still weak at the 3 spot. They should be able to win 52-56 games. Which is right around 4th in the west.
LMAO at Thunder being #20. Worse than the Knicks? Worse than the Nuggets? Even if you're solely basing this on their likely Week 1 performance that's insane. I do so enjoy the Warriors continually being fellated by the media and look forward to their inevitable 6 seed and their two good playoff games that prime the cycle to begin again next year.
Does anyone know how accurate they were last season? It would be nice if someone could compile a list of the most "accurate" predictions based on their history.
That's totally the GSW pattern. Mark Spears works out of the bay area so maybe there's a little home team bias there.
Man, the media must know something about the warriors I don't or haven't seen. GS isn't paying Klay that Max contract but they have the best back court in the league?
Western Conference 1) Spurs 2) OKC 3) Clippers 4) Houston 5) Memphis 6) Portland 7) New Orleans 8) Golden State 9) Dallas 10) Phoenix 11) Sacramento 12) Minnesota 13) Denver 14) Lakers 15) Utah Eastern Conference 1) Chicago 2) Cleveland 3) Toronto 4) Atlanta 5) Washington 6) Miami 7) Brooklyn 8) Boston 9) New York 10) Charlotte 11) Detriot 12) Orlando 13) Indiana 14) Milwaukee 15) Philadelphia
What's with the Warriors being everyone's cutesy pick this year? We know the drill already - their center gets hurt, their PF doesn't play D, Iggy continues to decline and now they've added a head coach with no sideline experience to the equation. And everyone has already forgotten how fragile Curry's ankle can be...
