    lol

Howard is going to get fouled a lot. Hell even TJ should have a real nice feast. I don't feel sorry for this upcoming beat down as they deserve it. :)

I actually enjoyed Lin's time here, overall. Of course the playoffs, his turnovers and inconsistencies were cringe worthy but he was a solid player for us. Of course, his contract and the LOFs were absolute deal breakers, though. But I wish him the best.

I still want Beverley to go full Wolverine on him and steal his lunch money repeatedly.

Looking for big games for Dwight and James.

Dwight because it's LA and you know the fans will boo him from the start, like last year. And because they have no one to guard Dwight. Boozer? Hill? Davis? Freaking Sacre? Lolol

And I'm looking to James to explode this game. Hush the haters and Kobe-Fanboys early and often. Prove his is the best shooting guard, bar none.

No prisoners! A loss is not even an option. I want a double digit blow out. Kobe over stresses himself, out for the season after the first quarter. Jeremy Lin scores 32 pts. in a losing effort. Everyone is happy.

I noticed that Lin is driving to the bucket a lot more in preseason than he did last year with the Rockets. Don't know if he will do that though against Rockets what with Howard in the paint waiting for him. However Lin MIGHT try to drive--just to get Howard into foul trouble, and on the bench. Sacre simply cannot guard Howard. Kobe will be revved up for this game. Also, either Kobe or Wes Johnson will guard Harden, both of whom are very good individual defenders. The Lakers actually played well in their last few preseason games, but, the Rox will win.

I'm trying to remember....how many playoff games did LA win last year? Oh NONE!

Without Kobe they have NOTHING. Even WITH a hobbled Kobe they don't have much.
And THANKS Kobe for tying up all of that max money so you can soak up dollars and play on a prosthetic leg.
I"m sure any top FA's would be 'honored' just to be in your presence, bask in your aura and play for the minimum.
You may want to take notes from Dirk when it comes to sensible contract demands in waning years.
And who says no top notch free agents want to play on "Kobe's team"?
Boozer was a great pickup! I think most of the team will be boozing by the All Star break.

And the Rockets turnover count improved by 7 per game just by sending Jeremy to LA.
Bev should eat him alive. That should give us about 7 more opportunities to score.

Kobe and the refs will likely try to keep it close. But hopefully our new defender Trevor 3Za will see to that.

One can only hope. I hate to say our first game is a must win. But this IS a must win.
A beat down would be a nice way to give send a message that Dwight is back and the Lakers are really.........Fakers

I watched a number of the Lakers preseason games, and saw some things which might be worth mentioning. There are a lot of new players on the Lakers and a few rookies who play a lot and will see time also on Tuesday (i.e. Julius Randle and Jordan Clarkson). The Lakers as things stand right now are not sophisticated on defense--they miss rotations, don't box out well, don't communicate: although...they DID improve as preseason progressed, and which is to be expected. When the other teams' offensive was complex, when there was movement, and passing--the Lakers looked lost on defense. When the offense was more one-on-one, the Lakers fared much better.

If the Rockets play the Harden-Howard iso game on offense--then I think the Lakers may have a shot in this game. If the Rox move the ball and create some set plays, etc., and pick up the pace--forget about it, it'll be over before it even starts. That's my opinion.

Interesting 1st game of the season. Bev vs Lin. Howard vs Staples crowd. Moreyball vs midrange. Fast offense vs grind out offense. Harden vs Kobe. Clutchfan trolls vs LOF's. So many things to look for.
