How is this even remotely true? There only a few idiots who deny Lin's individual talent. Even on our squad he had the occasional game where he would put up fantastic numbers. With only Kobe as the other facilitator, Lin will have every opportunity to do the same.

Ditto. Houston is a PG killing machine. Some recent history:

It brought out some of the best years of Skip to my Lou.

There was also this Oregon duck that played his best years in Houston and never really flourished anywhere else.

Then we got this grizzly that was merely a role player backing up Mike Conley, look at how his career transpired, talks of being an all star, fat contract, and leading his own team.

Can't forget, there was a dragon that's been playing behind the tutelage of Steve Nash for several years, yet never saw his potential come to fruition until he was given a chance here in Houston. He returns to PHX after spending a year at "PG killing machine", now people are mentioning all star next to his name. Lets not forget the nice payday. He probably wouldn't have got as much had he not play here. Dragic is also one of the leader on his team now.

As for Lin, he got better here. Linsanity was a fluke. What you are seeing or will be seeing with Laker Lin is mostly a product of what he developed here at pg killing machine. For example, playing off ball and oh, how about that nice fat contract the knicks didn't want to give him? He slept on a couch dude.

Then let us talk about Pat Bev. His career is surely going down the gutter in Houston since he was drafted in the second round, cut by the heat and played overseas. Now he has become a defensive beast and full time starter for an NBA team.

Honestly, I don't know where all this Mchale, Houston Rockets, PG killer where they all go to die etc started from. It's indeed the exact opposite. Adelman/Mchale Houston believed in them and gave them all a chance.

I don't think any of that will happen because all the focus and attention will go on Howard/Harden. Those two are going to have a field day with the Lakers, and as for Bev/Lin they will just cancer each other out. I'm not sure what Kobe is going to do, will just have to wait and see.

Holy cow, you're right. That basket shouldn't have counted and the Lakers should have won. Definite foul on whomever that was when he pushed Lin. The refs missed it. Wow.

Actually Price may be better than Bev. Plays near the same defense but can distribute a little..something Bev can't do at all. Neither can score worth a damn.

Jeremy still need to improve on his D, period. He still has trouble to guard those quick guards.

In the meantime, he seems added changing speeds and directions to his dribble penetration, which is new. I think it is good for him.

Maybe you should watch a Laker game. Price starts for 2 reasons, Lin has been injured and Price is a SOLID defender who can distribute. Bev starts because of his D and because the Rockets have one of the worst collection of point guards in the NBA. Lin is the only thing resembling an offensive leader for the 2nd unit and Scott wants the rookies to have a presence coming off the bench at this point.
Also, there are 2 players named Kobe and Magic that think Lin is a solid player and Magic has just about demanded that Lin start....I think they know a little about basketball.

No but a solid NBA player who can get to the hoop and create is.
I'm hoping for between 14-18 points and 6-8 assists a night with Kobe playing.

Lin finally gets a chance (due to injury I might add) and of course puts up meaningless stats in a loss to the lowly Kings. Laying on the ground as the Kings grab an offense rebound for the winning put back. I guess that's the same result as had he grabbed the board though; He would have just handed to a Kings player like he did against the Blazers in the Playoffs. I'm sure Scott is crossing his fingers that Price's knee injury isn't serious. With Lin at the helm the Lakers may not win 20 games.

TBH I like the PG combo of Price and Lin.

Price is a bee on defense, but his offense lacks consistency in that he kind of does a bit of everything. On the other hand, Lin is always probing the defense to set up good shots, and is a pass-oriented guard. Lin has the potential to get better on defense, but that will take time.

The biggest thing Lin has going for him in LA is that there is no 2nd star like the Rockets have. He has more value because he can create.
