So you're basically punishing Harden for being an aggressive driver in the lane instead of just standing outside in the perimeter all day long. 9 FTA/game also really isn't an astronomical number considering the Rockets played at one of the highest paces (more possessions). Kobe, Wade, and hell even Corey Maggatte had multiple seasons where they attempted 10-11FTA. Considering that, Harden is still the first player since Jordan to lead all guards in both PPG (>15) and TS%. Pretty crazy stat.
Harden and Dwight are so overrated. It is proof that stats matter more than winning matters. There is no reason that a team with two top 10 players in the league can't get out of the first round and was almost swept this year. I think the fatal flaw in harden's game is that he, like many in the nba, subscribe to the notion that a superstar wins championships and that's what he tries to be, on offense. That's why I am so glad the spurs won it all last year by playing TEAM basketball. Question: do you think, if Harden was on the spurs, that pop would let him get away with what he does in houston, shoot a lot and don't play defense? As far as dwight is concerned, dwight was once a superstar, but nowadays he is just a very good center. He can't shoot, his real claim to fame these days is rebounding and clogging up the lane. In addition melo should be way far down on the list because he only tries to paid stats.
The only thing proven is that some people fail to realize that favorites don't always win. Harden and Howard's inability to win the first series they played together says just as much about them as players as Love never making it to the playoffs says about how good he is. They are top talents in the league and 1 upset in their first series together doesn't change anything.
The nba admitted to two ref mistakes that cost Houston two games, and they lost the series 4-2, whilst also scoring more points over the 6 games, not quite sure how that qualifies as almost swept, we also happened to be the unlucky schmucks, with Golden state suffering health issues in the playoffs. What happened to Portland the following series is what you'd call "almost swept". Do you know how many teams have ever lost 2 games in a series due to admitted bad ref calls? the answer to that is 1. 2 bad calls turns a 4-1 series into a 2-4 loss, similarly the Clippers had what should have been a 4-1 series turned into 4-3 by just one bad call
While going 13 for 35 and 3 for 11 from three didn't help. Holy crap, harden shot yall out of at least 2 games.
Shooting slumps happen, especially over such short periods, Durant and Westbrook both put that up in round 1, Dirk had a whopping 8% from 3 for his series, the Spours were pretty lousy for the first part of their round 1, but that's the advantage that the Spurs and Thunder earned, home court against weaker opponents.
Y'all are paying 'what' too much attention. He lives to troll the Rockets. Then he'll come around with how great the Grizzlies are until they do something that upsets him and he'll abandon them for a few weeks and come back. We've seen this cycle many times, now.
I think I can explain Harden's shooting slump in the playoffs. The refs don't call a lot of 50/50 plays that they normally call in the regular season. Harden lives off 50/50 calls where he typically gets the blocking call with a nicely coordinated flop. Yes...his TS% is saved when he goes 4-14 from the field, but then gets to the line 15 times and goes 13-15 from the free throw line. Well, those 15 free throws are more like 6 or 7 in the playoffs because they let a lot of plays go in the playoffs. They usually want the players to decide who wins playoff games vs the refs.
Curry at #6, wow the love for him is getting crazy! Harden at #9 is way too low, but it's okay, all ammo!!!
Rockets are 7th when it comes to winning the championship. It just so happens that, besides the Cavs, most of the teams ahead of them are from the West.
This. I don't know why y'all entertain this guy. He does exactly this cycle. Don't waste your time....it only prolongs the trolling.

Tony Parker took more shots per 36 minutes than Harden last season. If Harden was with the Spurs, he'd be their leading scorer by a fair margin. He wouldn't get away with the bad defense, though.
They say it's because of the injury, but I think they just want page views. Putting Durant at #8 makes the rankings even more meaningless.
If he misses 20 games, and puts up ridiculous numbers in the other 62, he's still not impacting those 20 games. Makes sense. Ranking takes into account the whole season. Hence Wade/Kobe drop a lot too, b/c of injury issues.
