.... plays tonight at the Axiom. JW Americana with special guests The Wagner Sisters (JW in drag, whole different set) and The Medicine Show (rollicking good boot stomping time). JW is hilarious. They have exactly the right attitude. They just wanna drink and have fun and they just want the audience to do the same. And every time I've seen them that's exactly what happens. Song titles like 'I ****ing Love it, Man,' 'Water is a Good Thing,' 'There Are No Hot Dogs in My Hometown' and 'God God Dammit.' Doors at 10. All ages. $5 cover and $2 beer. And a money back guarantee from Batman Jones to anyone on the BBS if they come and don't have a good time. Axiom's 5 blocks east of the convention center at 2524 McKinney. www.infernalbridegroom.com for more info.

Brian
I would check out Romeo Dogs, Jesse Dayton(if you don't mind a little ego with your music) There are others I really like too, but I don't get to H-town enough to know if they are still around.
Sorta off-topic, but if anyone is ever here in Tallahassee, there's quite a cadre of good college-type rock bands that are starting to make waves nationally. You might've heard of Socialburn, Presence, and Standstill, for example. We'll deny Creed, though, just like they'll deny that they are from Tallahassee.
Well dammit. I guess I got to plug my band now. Secret Agent 8: Best damned Ska band in Texas Old Quarter Acoustic Cafe(Galveston) Fri. June 27 9PM - 1AM Westheimer Street Festival Engine Room Stage Sun. June 29 1PM www.secretagent8.com
WHOA. Eddie Griffin, we played with y'all at my high school a few years ago. Pearland High School...I was in a band called Strangeray, I dunno if you remember. Yeah everybody, Secret Agent 8 is skalicious, check 'em out if you're into that kind of thing.
Chicken Boy, I guess I wasn't in SA8 then. I joined the band in November '01 so I didn't play that gig.
