Well, of course you do. But, because of scheduling anomalies that lead to skewed results as the season goes, many coaches are known to measure success by looking at road wins vs home losses. This has proven to be an effective barometer to use to weed out the sheduling anomalies.

    By that analysis, we are:

    10 - 9

and rank us #9 in the West ahead of Denver (6-5) and Phoenix (6-5). This could get close, especially if Penny and Gugliotta get hurt again, lol!

    Speaking of W and L's
I am still pissed about losses to the Clippers, Warriors and Nuggets (I know the Nuggets are better now but if Francis didnt get hurt we had that game IMO). We win those games were 21-14. Heck, if Francis never got injured--Mobley too--Id venture to say we have somewhere between 20 and 23 wins right now. If we get through the next 10 games we should be okay. Of those 10, 8--thats right, 8-- are part of back to back games (so 4 back to back situations). Teams in the first leg of those backtobacks include: @ Utah , @ Golden State, @ Denver, Vancouver. Teams in the second leg include: Toronto, @ Lakers, Philadelphia, @ Charlotte. This next set of games could mean lottery or playoff hopes for the rest of the season.

I have done a little math here:
The Rockets have played at least half of the scheduled western conference games, and they are 9-16. At this rate, they will finish around 18-32 in the west. The good thing is that they still have 2 games left against Denver, Seattle, Dallas, Vancouver, and Golden State. They also have 3 left against the clips. They could easily win 11 of these 13 games. Then they are 9-1 against the east, with two thirds of the eastern teams left to play. They could easily go 27-3 against the east. I can really only see them losing to Philly, or Toronto. Adding it all up, despite being only one game above .500 right now, the Rockets are on pace for a 47 win season. They have to keep dominating the east though. That shouldn't be too hard. They still have 2 games against Atlanta, 1 with Chicago, 1 with Cleveland, 2 with Orlando, 1 with Boston, 1 with Indiana etc. Many of these games are at home as well. Very easy schedule ahead, the Rockets just need to survive January.

Being above .500 is simply a fluke for the Nuggets. Remember that. Look at your signature.

The series is tied 1-1. The Rockets will win it 3-1. The Nuggets are flukes.

It's true....The second half of the season is easier, and I think we can reach the 47 win plateau IF our defense stays strong...
