Basketball vagabond Mike James, most recently of the Chicago Bulls, has put his mansion-estate in Houston on the market at $7.499 million.

The gated compound, well-equipped for the modern athlete, features a detached sports complex, complete with an NBA regulation basketball court, a fitness center and hydrotherapy immersion tanks on nearly four acres in Rivercrest.


The master suite, one of 11 bedrooms and 10.5 bathrooms, has dual vanities and a pair of soaking tubs. A detached guest house adds an additional 2,000 square feet.

Outdoors, a sunken pool and spa separate the main residence and guest home. A pair of putting greens with sand traps and a water hazard complete the park-like setting.

The former Duquesne guard, 39, has played for 11 different NBA teams over 12 seasons, as well as extended stints abroad and in the D-League. He appeared in 11 games for the Bulls last season.

James, who has earned more than $32 million for his career, purchased the property in May 2006, public records show. The home was offered earlier this year for $8 million.
