Ding Ding.. round three.. first of all, what a scare.. I think you guys have the very best NBA team web page there is.. I havent been here since the last time these two teams played and when I came back this time I typed the old URL and almost freaked out.. That site sucks compared to this one. any ways Rocket fans.. the Kings are going to let you know we were there, but I hate to say, I think the Kings come up short on this trip.. its a back to back for us and I think you guys will end up getting us this time.. It should be a good game anyways.. good luck!
LOL!! Don't let Frank find out you said his site sucks! ------------------ Go vote for Steve Francis for the All-Star game!! You only have until Sunday!! Vote for Francis!
The important thing here is that Sacramentois gonna be coming off a game "up there" against Denver...It doesn't really help that it's harder to breath at the Pepsi centre...Also, Houston is coming off a weak offensive effort against the Knicks and will look to break out offensively...Obvioiusly, both defenses have trememndously improved over the past season...Houston has added Mo Taylor, and Sacramento has added Peja and replaced N. Anderson with Christie...The Rockets SHOULD win this one, but I wouldn't doubt Sacramento ONE SECOND... Prediction: Rockets 91 Kings 89 P.S. Seems like only fans from Vacouver and the Bulls (except gettingbranded) are idiots. Thx for the props SandB/Bill! ------------------
It's not like he hasn't already come here and found out for himself. ------------------ "I personally don't think Jordan would have enjoyed playing with himself." -- JeffB lets us all know that Popeye and Clutch aren't the only ones with inside sources... (also an example of a BBS "sound-bite")
I follow the Kings a little since they're the only team I listen to on the Radio . ***Kings Scouting Report*** Peja Stojakovic is an awesome 3 point shooter , Their rookie Hidyet Turkoglu (who should see some minutes) is almost a mirror image of Peja . Chris Webber is always going to get you 25/10 on a constant basis , Vlade Divac has been nothing more than a deadweight for a long time , but he can show up some nights. Doug Christie was an excellent trade for Scorliss Wiliamson , Christie plays Solid defense with 2 steals per game . Then theres Jason Williams , J-Will as the Sac Fans call him , Jason is a great drive-to-the-hoop scorer who can hurt you in crunch time , BUT he is careless and doesn't play good defense , On the other hand he will split time with Bobby Jackson who is a good defender , Throw in Jon Barry and Scot Pollard and the Kings have a well-rounded team , And Rookie Jabari Smith from LSU hasnt seen any PT yet but could see limited minutes with the injury to Lawrence Funderburke . ------------------ "Its a good thing they don't make posters of European players" -Walt Williams after getting "posterized" by Zan Tabak .
Ooops.. Sorry Frank, I don't mean that your site sucks, its just that I was expecting this one, I really do like the layout of this site. So im sorry if I offended you. Also, after reading my post it sounded like I meant you guys would only win because we are coming in on a back to back, that will have some effect im sure, but I think every team learns a little more about the other as they play and I think you will be much more ready for us this time. Its obvious to see that you guys are better than what your record would indicate at 18/17. again, good luck and it should be a good one. Kings 92 Rockets 97 ------------------
We got REAL problems - no Dream, no Cato, no 'Los and Collier still not in game shape. It doesn't look good for the Rockets!!! ------------------ GATER [This message has been edited by GATER (edited January 12, 2001).]
No reason to apologize to the Swindler. The site does suck. We all had to escape the fraud at one time or another... welcome back to ClutchCity.net . I don't feel as secure about the Rockets pulling out a win against the Kings... we're 1-5 against Sacramento in the this season and last and they seem to have our number. We're also playing very poorly at home, losing 6 of our last 7. Doug Christie adds so much to that team in my opinion. What a steal swapping Corliss Williamson for Christie. Last year the last game we played against the Kings in Houston we did win 102-99, but it took a 74-point explosion from our guards to edge out Webber (29 points) and Sacramento. Man I would love to see Taylor have a strong showing against C-Webb though ... ------------------ NOTHING BUT .NET CLUTCHCITY.NET
I would love to see Taylor have a strong showing against C-Webb though ... We all would but it wont happen. Maybe on NBA Live with the computer being on rookie mode. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris fan club.

That was a dumb question since they never sell out games. ------------------ President of the Moochie Norris fan club.
I'm going with: Rocks 95 Kings 90 Stevie 22 pts, 7 asts, 7 rebs Shan 18 pts, 4 asts, 6 rebs KT 12 pts, 3 asts, 12 rebs Go Rocks! ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams fan club. Web site coming soon atheistalliance.org
Kings - 101 Rockets - 80 Webber has a 30+ pt, 15+ reb game ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel boy.
I think you are selling Jason a little short. Jason has over last five games showed a lot of improvement especially defensively! And in crunch time has been responsible for several clutch baskets. the kid is improving every game. last night he had 11 pts, 7 boards, 8 asts and only one TO. he has been doing a great job of not turning the ball over. I think you need to actually watch Jason instead of listening to the same old garbage. Overall he has shown a drastic improvement. he makes a ot better decisions now and been a part as why the Kings are near the top in most defensive catagories. ------------------
The Kings are one of those teams that seem to match up well against the Rockets...kind of like the T-Wolves. And after Utah coming in here on the back end of a back to back from Denver last week and stealing a win, I get little consolation from putting the Kings in the same situation since they are both younger and better than the Jazz. I do believe that Mo will make a much better showing for himself this time after being dominated last time. Having said that C-Webb is still the best power forward in the game and I expect him to play like it. The real key is can we get enough from Francis, Mobes and Anderson to off set what will surely be nothing less than dominance by the Kings inside game? My heart tells me Rockets 105 Kings 98, but my head tells me Kings 101 Rockets 89 hope my head is wrong, we should be due for a win. One other thing...J-Will is the most overated player in the history of the NBA. I am sorry but I have seen the guy play. He can occasionally get hot and look like a great shooter. And since no one else will say it I will... THE ONLY REASON JASON WILLIAMS IS CONSIDERD SO GOOD IS BECAUSE HE IS WHITE AND CAN MAKE A FANCY NO LOOK PASS! There are a bunch of black point guards that can do that but because they are black it is expected of them an no big deal. Sorry, I am not trying to make this a racial thing. Steve Nash is having a great year. Not Jason Williams. Show me just one other point guard that averages 11pts 5.6ast 1.6steals and 2.4boards and is considered a great point guard. Kenny Smith put up those kind of numbers here and was never considered a great point guard and he could play better D! You want a white point guard? Give me Nash and yes even little thug Stockton over J-Will any day! ------------------ [This message has been edited by crash5179 (edited January 13, 2001).] [This message has been edited by crash5179 (edited January 13, 2001).]
Crash, you were making some great points with your post until you got to the Kenny Smith could play D......BONK !!! DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from monkeys and apes, then why are there still monkeys and apes?
Compared to J-Will he should have been defensive player of the year a couple of times. ------------------
Ha! Ha! your very funny! J-Will better than Nash! Try again. Here's Nashes numbers. Pretty Damn good. Ranks 8th in the NBA in Assists Per Game (7.6) Ranks 13th in the NBA in Field-Goal Percentage (.493) Ranks 11th in the NBA in Three-Point Field-Goal Percentage (.423) Ranks 1st in the NBA in Free-Throw Percentage (.924) Ranks 17th in the NBA in Three point Field Goals Made (52) Add 16.5ppg 1steal per game 3.4rpg's and he shoots .423 from behind the arc. Now lets examine Jason Williams numbers: 11.1ppg 5.6apg 2.4rpg 1.6steals per game .430FG% .330%from behind the arc .769FT% Yeah I can see where you think J-Will is better than Nash...Please! And your right the opposing defense spends all its time concentraiting on Dirk and Finley instead of Nash. Not like in Sacramento where all they have to worry about is C-Webb, Divacs, Barry and the Euro's. How could I overlook the fact that Jason Williams is the only real offensive threat the Kings have! J-Will better than Kidd in a few years...?? You trying to be a comedian right? Here is a quiz for you. Name one other PG with J-Will's stats that is considered All Star material....NONE! Here are some names for you: Sam Cassell Stephon Marbury Barron Davis Andre Miller Mike Bibby Terrell Brandon Jason Kidd Gary Payton John Stockton Nick Van Excel Steve Francis Steve Nash and Howard Eisely (Steve Nash's backup) All better than J-Will! ------------------
Keep in mind that this is from the guy who thinks trading for Montross would be a good move and that Allan Houston is a better sg than Ray Allen. ------------------ snap crackle pop
