I think the Rockets should select Bernard King. He is a compeditor. He would be a good back up guard. The second round is a crap shoot. Bernard could be an improvement over either Moochie or Tito.

No. He is a senior from Texas A&M. He averaged arround 20 points a game and can play both guard positions.

We don't need to draft Bernard King. He isn't on anybody's draft map. The Rockets would do just as well to invite him to camp as a free agent after he goes undrafted.

rocket red, you must be a fellow Aggie...

I've been hoping he gets drafted but I'm just not sure...

If he gets drafted, great but I hope he and his agent are looking at teams to get on a summer league with, then get an invite to their camp and try to win a spot onthe 15 man roster(three on IR)...

I just don't think Houston(my favorite team) will take a chance on a player at that position... especially when you already have a combo guard in Stevie Franchise...

Believe you me, I would love nothing better than Houston to take him but I just don't see it happening... Other teams are in need of a combo guard like New Orleans(after Davis and Wesley they have no offense), Atlanta(needs help at their guard spots), Minnesota(needs offense from their backup guard spots), Denver(needs help every where) and Philly(Snow and Mckie aren't getting any younger-like New Orleans guys)...

Just some guesses about teams they have a real need for a guard like Bernard but I'm sure some of those teams will fill spots in this coming draft but not every team will...

He's a dime a dozen player who probably doesn't even belong in the NBA, let alone being wasted a pick on. Poooor aggy.

Mark my words toz. Bernard is a player. I suppose you would rather waste a pick on Luke Walton. He is nothing more than a name. He lacks speed to play in the NBA. Or maybe you wish to try your luck with a high school player. May be they can play in a couple of years. I'm not sure that TJ Ford will even make it in the NBA. He can't even bench 185lbs.

All I'm saying is that it is a crap shoot and given a chance Bernard will be a player in the nba.

The NBA isn't a bench pressing league.

Many high schoolers make it big. It's the risk you take, especially with a 2nd round player.

Luke Walton has a skill set that many, many teams could use and will be in the league for a long while. He doesn't do anything great, but does a lot well, like Shane Battier. Not as good, no, but within striking distance.

Bernard King? He wouldn't be discussed if not for the similarity in his name. Sorry.

I don't think SF is a position that we will go after...

I think Nachbar will be a good perimeter player, especially when Yao becomes a more dominant post player...

I'd either go with a big banger like Amadi or Jason Keep...
Or go with a shooter at either PG or SG(I mean pure shooter)...

Comparing these 2 guys is hard to do...

Andre is a slasher(he's deadly 12 feet in)...

Bernard is more of a perimeter player...

Andre and Bernard's defense is about the same, which is not good...

I could go on and on about how Bernard is a better this and that but Andre is just as good in spots that Bernard is not the best...

I think Andre is a better finisher, a better inside player, a better rebounder and just has the size NBA scouts like..

Bernard is a better perimeter player, a better ballhandler and a better passer but he's a tweener... Is he a PG or SG in the NBA???

I find it funny that we are arguing about 2 guys that are very different... And I doubt Houston would take either one at #44...

So who's better than who, I don't care... I like watching Emmett play but I also like the way Bernard plays so who cares...

Good luck next season zrader1 and hopefully we both will surprise the big 12 next season...

Bernard has the size of a 2 but he can play the point effectively. He doesn't have the quickness but he can handle the ball and distribute. He's pretty decent defensively and has an oustide shot.

People pretend the guy has no talent or something but I saw him being projected as a late first rounder prior to having a somewhat disappointing senior season. He only dropped in 18 with 8 boards and 7 assists in one game against the a$$ raiders this year and how quickly the sips forget about the 30 points and 7 assists he dropped on them his junior year (a game that a sad and otherwise untalented A&M team won). He's also the all time Big XII leader in points scored, which isn't something that gets accomplished by someone with the athletic ability of a 400 pound quadriplegic (as some sips and dirt monkeys would have you believe). I'm not saying he is the answer, but I don't see how Walton or any of the HS kids that will be left when we pick will be either.

    Yeah, I go to A&M...

I've been one of the few loyal aggie basketball fans... I've been watching A&M play for at least 12 seasons easily...

Not much to watch at times, believe you me...

Bernard will get looks in the summer league... Just wondering who will be the best shot at making a roster...

There are a lot of teams that can use a combo guard that can score and create for others...

I would love Bernard King to make the Rockets roster, possibly taking Tito's spot(even if its on the IR) but I just don't see it happening...
