I believe at least 30% of the fans here are chinese fans. -- don't count me on the figure, but that's how it looks like in all those YM posts. :)

-- as of myself, I'm a chinese fan living in Canada right now. I confess I don't see rox game a lot, since I don't have cable TV in my room. but, what the hell... at least I cheer for rox when they play against raptors. :D

--errrr... it's really funny to have 70% of the fans in a sports bar cheering against the home team! ;)

I think I was the only Chinese guy here when I joined a few years ago (before any of us had even heard of Yao). Now there are tons of us, a lot from the Mainland.

Anyway, I'm from Manila, Philippines. I can't speak a lick of the language, but by blood I am 100% Chinese.

We are a basketball-obsessed country. Every day during the season we have at least one NBA game on TV. Some days that number reaches three or four.

Nah I was here, lurking, just reading. Those were the days where we didn't have to sign up to view the boards and me being paranoid about even giving out email.

I'm not Filipino, but I can tell you for sure that they are absolutely nuts about basketball.

yes.. i came from the philippines just a year ago and its the hottest sport there. almost everybody knows how to play and everybody's crazy about the NBA and PBA(Philippine Basketball Association). ive been a Houston Rockets fan ever since i watched my first nba game on tv, i think i was 7 or 8-years-old and that was the first time i saw hakeem olajuwon and he instantly became idol!

    yo bury3, how's manila nowadays?

All we hear about is the second-coming, Tony Parker that is. Can't wait to get back to the states and watch our Rockets win another championship!

As a Frenchmen I think I can help you here!
During the regular season there is no game on basic TV.On the other hand if you have canal+,on wensdays at 2pm u get a show called "Eddy Time" completely dedicated to US sports(NBA,NHL...).
Now if ur realy lucky and u know somebody with a satelite dish,u can look up for Sport+.This channel not only show various NBA games but also NCAA,NHL and even some MLB I think.
I only have Canal+(which u can have a pirate version on the internet!) and got to see only 1 Rockets game this season!!!
BTW I'm from the most beautyfull city in France,Bordeaux(SW of France) but unfortunately moving to Toulouse soon.

    Any other Frenchmen on board?

    Thanks A la Rockets,

"Eddy" must have the best American accent. If any expat in France hasn't seen his show, I definitely recommend doing so. And you're right about Bordeaux, although I would have to say that Arcachon (where I spend my summers) has my two-thumbs up for the most beautiful city in France.
