Dallas only shot better from the FT line and blocked more shots (9-1)

Houston led in all other major categories

    Beta as ****.

I will be smoking a cigar and drinking a bottle of wine when duncan finally retires. The rockets will actually have a chance to be on top. But not dallas. **** dallas.

canaan looked pretty much like his limited minutes on the rockets court last season - terrible. and ish smith can't shoot to save his life. terry too old and johnson too green. should have just kept brooks.

Pre-season or not, it was good to see a win against Dallas. The look on Harden's face towards Parsons on the Clutchfans page was great.

well chuckie, 'JET' has been out of action due to injury for a year and a half now and is currently suffering from a new injury and therefore was ineligible to play yesterday. but hey, he's only 37 so he should be good to go as a reliable option for all 82 this season. let's get camby back too.

I've said it a long time, Canaan will be a third option anywhere he goes. He absolutely is no PG. When he gets into it he can put in some points quickly, but thats it. He is IMO limited to only being somewhat good offensively.

D-Mo is a natural w/ his back to the basket. Milk Hair has got to love that.

Ish might as well not even be here. Just a training camp body.
But I had hope Canaan was ready. So far he isn't showing me he's a good solution for back up PG. My pet peeve of his is he can't make plays and then he takes it on his own to drive with no real move to create space and he gets his shot blocked. It's never some chase down block, or a help defender...it's the guy he's driving right into that gets the easy block/TO.

Right now I'd seriously have this be my bench unit:
    PG-SG combo guard: Terry
    PG-SG combo guard: Nick Johnson
    Point Forward: Kostas Papanikalou
    PF: Jeff Adrien
    C: Donatas Motiejunas

Yeah not to overreact or anything, but I've never been impressed with Canaan when he's come into an NBA game. His size makes it really hard for him to finish so the only way he can score is shooting outside jumpers. And in every other facet of the game, he is a negative.

I really hope the game slows down for him this year so he can show off the skills I'm told he has. Best case scenario would see Canaan being our off the bench scorer.
