Really based on how they looked in the first Preseason game.

I expect Terry to bump Adrien down soon enough

I think the record is 116 free throws between Syracuse and Anderson in 1949. Only difference is it took them.....5 overtimes.

Expect to see a lot more canaan in other preseason games. He's probably going to be the backup PG as long as Terry isn't injured. Ish Smith is getting cut.

Liked what I saw from K-pap even with all the missed shots early. He was probably extremely nervous but still managed to come on strong at the end.

Like what Im seeing so far from this squad so far. Love Adriens grittiness, wouldnt be surprised if he ends up starting. Honestly I would start Dmo but probably play Adrien/Tjones more with Dwight depending on the situation but that's just me.

He did play, but I think it is because we have over 20 players signed. Troy has a spot and he does not have to prove himself so he played limited minutes. Could be something else though, but we do have a lot of guards and we dont need another sg after harden, daniels...garcia, ariza, and even terry who can all chip in.

We have 7 more games to figure out who is out. My guess is ish (Cant shoot, but he is not bad), black, Powell, and covington are out. After that, i have no idea who we cut.

Not that I want to defend Mchale because I still want him to go but this is preseason, the rotations are not going to be the same during regular season. With Dwight I don't think he will be posted up as much, we will probably see pick and roll much more and Terrence Jones already knows he has a job so he probably doesn't really care about preseason. If you remember TJ's preseasons in the past they were very good because he was fighting to prove something, he doesn't have to do that now.

I am all the way here for Jeff Adrien. But I'm not surprised.

Just a few thoughts on the first game of the preseason and the rocket players:

Canaan - I think I'm done with this guy. He is just too small and does not have the length to be effective enough on either end of the floor. If only he could give his 3pt shot to Ish Smith.

Ish - After many shaky moments, he seemed to do a pretty decent job running much of the show in the second half. I feel confident when he has the ball... like he's not going to cough it up or throw a silly pass out of bounds. If only he could shoot...

Papa - Very shaky start. Although he looked confident most of the game, I'm sure this being his first nba game played on his nerves a little bit. I really liked what I saw from him as a whole though. Does a little bit of everything out there. I particularly enjoyed when Kostas faked his defender out 3 times over and dropped off a gimme dime to Adrien for a dunk, but Adrien lost the ball on the way up. Also, he sealed the game for us. Like what I see so far.

Adrien - Perhaps my player of the game. Dude is like a pitbull down there. Tons of hustle and tenacity. Exactly what this team needs more of. Some mother****ing toughness. Could go without the frosted tipped highlighted Bobby Brown esque haircut though.

Ariza - Just wow. He looked great out there. Very calm and collected. His shooting stroke looked amazing. Really enjoyed the 3 he busted directly in Parsons eye to beat the shot clock from 5 feet past the 3pt line.

Nick Johnson - Pretty decent showing for Nick. We all know this guy can play. He just needs more time. Looked pretty solid defensively on Ellis during some of the game. Could end up being yet another solid 2nd round pick for us.

D'Mo - D'Mo looked great out there. Very similar to his summer league performances. This kid can really dominate the post if we can just get him the ball and he can show some consistency. I'd love to see him get another chance at the starting 4 spot.

    Jones - Looked ****ing terrible.

All in all, after a horrid first half for everyone save Harden/Ariza, I was pleasantly surprised with the bench play in the second half. I'm really hyped for the next game and to hopefully see the bench start to take shape.

    Observations:
*kPap makes the right decisions. He'll get playing time early. I haven't seen a rocket throw an entry pass to repost a player since the JVG era.
*dmo needs touches in the post. The offense needs to incorporate looks for him.
*nick Johnson will be a great pick and roll player. I can see that is a strength in his game when he used DMo picks a few times tonight.
