ClutchFans Game Thread: Rockets @ Mavericks 10/7/2014 (PRESEASON)

Holy crap guys, calm down. Most of the guys playing are guys who are getting cut or playing their first NBA game.

Garcia, Terry, Daniels, Canaan, Dorsey, etc. haven't even played at all. The starters have played like 10 minutes.

This game is about getting these new guys some live game action. The score doesn't matter.

 

Building chemistry now?

Boring game...

 

Calvin:

Rockets had to be pleased (with Ariza). Played as though he never left. Always composed. ... Trevor is laid back. Parsons is more feisty, even though he thinks he's Elvis Presley. Parsons wanted to play tonight. He was begging for the ball. He never begged for the ball during his stint with the Rockets.

(D-Mo looks) More comfortable. Looked like he bulked up. Footwork did look good (a couple of times). This has to be a breakout year for Jones. If he loses that position in camp, it will be tough to get it back.

Those other guys got to realize they're competing for a spot. They have to be all out, make something happen, make those minutes count.

 

And the style of play isn't even what the Rockets will do during the regular season. They aren't running the floor, they aren't shooting 3's, etc.

The pace is very slow.

This is nothing like what the regular season is going to be like.

 

If you didn't want a D-League game to break out, you shouldn't have signed 90% of your bench off the D-League. Gahhh, dammit Morey you had the chance to make this team so much more fun to watch!

 

How did we get worse with so many good players available this summer?

 

Checking around the league, Detroit vs Chicago has the same amount (27 and 38)... and they're currently in OVERTIME

Morey is making it real hard to stick up for him, lol. Put together horrible bench then complain about horrible bench SMH.

What's wrong with Terrence Jones?!

 

There's no way Jones has 20-30 lbs on Parsons. Just look at them stacked side by side during the free throws. Parsons has 20lbs on Jones at least.

 

Yup. I'm out. This game is just unwatchable. There's gonna be more fouls than points tonight.

 

I want to see more of our bench!
