His handles can be shaky but his shot is actually pretty decent. Highest catch and shoot percentage on the rockets last season iirc. Pretty good finishing percentage on drives too.
he just has a loose handle. is what it is. he got into the paint and made things happen though, dudes got great straightline acceleration but is a bit slow laterally compared to other pgs.
So the Lakers waived Kendall Marshall whose making minimum, and then signed him back for 15 mils for this year? Way to go Lakers.
Thought his lateral movement seemed better on defense last night. Apparently he's been working on that during the summer. It's still not good, but doesn't seem as bad as it was last year.
pretty good summary of LIN. I'm glad we traded him. The only way LIN can replicate his early career success is when he's the focal point of a bunch of scrubs, so if kobe and nAsh go down, then you Lakers fans will probably see an inflation of stats and think LIN is awesome.
If Harden goes down, I have no clue who's gonna make plays for you guys You literally have no other playmakers on your roster
He's saying they're essentially the same player based on this one game. And he is right. Marshall had a lot of low scoring games but incredibly high assists. We all saw how that ended. How is that different from Lin's 1 point 10 assist game?
You know Marshall did that under MDA right? All PGs stats were inflated under MDA, this includes Lin.
how can anyone who watches a frigging Lakers preseason game just to poop on a player not call themself a hater? he's not even on our team! do any of you so called real Rocket fans even watch any of OUR preseason games or post this much about it? smh
He was complaining about $15M, which is for the season not one game Far as differences, there are a ton. For starters Marshall's D is flat out non-existent, he's too slow to attack the rim and draw fouls, he can't create his own shot, and his release is so low he can only get his shot off if he's given 5 feet of space
It's preseason? Oh man this is going to be so much fun this season. This thread is going to be lively. I welcome all walks of life to join in on the discussion.
Everyone talking in this thread as "Lin being a Lakers" was based on one game we saw last night. So like it or not, what we saw last night from Lin does not make him 20 times better than Marshall (in terms of salary). He dished out some nice assists, and so does Marshall. He shoot poorly, and so does Marshall. He did not play well on D, and Marshall maybe even worse than Lin. Its just a preseason game, relax, but the purpose of this thread, like most of the others in CF, is for entertaining purpose. Hence I stand corrected.
Also name one thing you saw last night from Lin that's different than what he did in the Rockets? His shooting is very inconsistent. He still likes to dribble the ball to the paint and then stop, proceed to either force a bad shoot or look for a pass. He still hold the ball on this hand and call for ISO on top of the arc, he almost committed (actually he did) the same type of TOV that cost the Rockets in the playoff. He is just being Lin, he is exactly what we thought he is.
And I forgot one more point, when playing with Kobe or even rookie freaking Clarkson, Lin still moved to the corner to spot up lots of the time. Seems to me Scott isn't much brighter than Milk Hair after all.

This. Crazy to have so much focus on Lin from this game. He dished out assists, shot like crap, overall looked like an NBA player - no superstar, not a scrub, just a guy on the second unit to mostly not get excited about. But, damn, the lingering hate here is strong. What about Kobe? Is he all the way back or just 80% Kobe, which wouldn't be enough for playoffs. What about Nash? Will he last more than a month or is this just a death rattle? Lots of other stories about this game other than just "I really hate an average player who's a nice guy and isn't even on our team." Really hope the upcoming Mavs game will help the raving haters to focus on Parsons and thereby get back to focusing on the Rockets.
